When I start a playing session, using Spotify Connect, nothing happens on the squeezebox, at first. If I wait 10-15 secs the player in question turns on and starts playing. At this point the sounds is a bit jumpy, start:stop a few times. After that first song everything appears rock solid. Until I stop, when I sometimes need to do a few play:pause cycles to have Spotty stop playing. Today I just noticed something a little weird when I tried to start playing music from the Spotify App on my phone, nothing played on the Squeezebox. I noticed the squeezebox player was powered off. When I turned to squeezebox player on, everything works fine. This should just work fine. Is this reproducibly the case whenever you try? Michael, Things have been much more stable for me in the last few releases (Synology DS414, LMS 7.9.1). Today I just noticed something a little weird when I tried to start playing music from the Spotify App on my phone, nothing played on the Squeezebox. I noticed the squeezebox player was powered off. When I turned to squeezebox player on, everything works fine. Is there so the default behavior could be to turn on the squeezebox player when LMS receives a play request from Spotify? This seems to be the behavior when playing something through the LMS web interface (it automatically turns on the player). Michael, have you considered making tracks on the list that are from the local music library, playable and/or favorite-able? I have been running 1.99.3 now for more than a week. Can you tell me what helper version Settings/Advanced/Spotty would report? When starting playing a Connect session the first tune is a bit jumpy. Music starts for a few seconds, stops for 5-10 seconds, starts again. This happens a couple of times to eventually become steady. Following songs plays normal. I quite often have miss the last few seconds of my songs. These two issues sound like a problem I hoped was resolved in the latest iteration, but which we saw a lot before that. Is it possible you're running some custom spotty helper application build? In Spotty temp folder there are quite many field after more than 1 week of usage. I had 78 files of 350MB in total. On server restart these files are cleared, not on LMS restart. I've uploaded screenshots of my MIS configuration to this post. I noticed that the problem only occurs, when my Boom is synchronized to my Touch. Both of the players are Spotify Connect activated. As soon is I unsynchronize my Boom from the Touch the display of title, artist and album information works fine. When it is synchronized with my Touch (the target player in the Spotify app being the Boom) the Boom displays only the title, artist and album information of the first song. I finally found time to give this a try. Alas, I couldn't reproduce your issue.
