Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty v1.9.0 - now with experimental Spotify Connect support!

Is there a way to show lyrics while playing with Spotty?

I wanted to suggest using the Music & Artist Information plugin. But it
doesn't show the Lyrics menu for whatever reason. I'll look into this.

I'm not sure if it is the update to the plugin posted on 12/23/2017, but
I just did a fresh install of Max2Play (2.45) and the Google Play Music
plugin did not work via the web-based installer. It installed properly,
and I was able to login and load my library. But tracks wouldn't play.
I'm still trying a few things to try to diagnose, but it seems like the
out-of-the-box experience Max2Play generally delivers may not be working
at the moment (I used 7.9 nightly and have a Pi 2B).

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Alexa & LMS with Ha-Bridge

2017-12-26 Thread grimmace92

I just wanted to report I was able to get Alexa to work with LMS and
Spotty. I use Ha-bridge on my synology NAS along with LMS. Ha-bridge
accepts http commands and acts as a phillips hue emulator. You have on,
off and dim functions which you can program to whatever you want. For
example for proof of concept I named my command Spotify in the Kitchen
and say "Alexa, Turn on Spotify in the Kitchen". My http command is for
my playlist I listen to most and she turns it on perfectly. Thanks to
Michael for help with the url. Here is the example of what I used in
Ha-bridge

http://youripaddress:port/anyurl?player=MACaddressofplayer=playlist=play=spotify:user:yourspotifyusername:playlist:yourplaylistid

fill in your ip address and port, mac id for your player, spotify
username and playlist ID. You get the ID from the spotify computer app
under share and then copy spotify url

You can basically create a device for anything you can do with http on
LMS. I asked Michael in the other thread I started if synchronize was
an option. This process can be tedious as you have to setup each
command per player but it works well.

Do this when you inside your local network.
-Just go to LMS 9002.
-Go out the settings page --> choose Plugins tab. At the bottom you
will find the Additional Repositories.
-Add the given URL.
-Take a screenshot of the input field if it fails again.

When I thought this was working I had retagged a lot of files which I
think must have caused MusicIP to treat them as unanalysed but the
fingerprints were still present.

For what it's worth: this happens also with the Hifi subscription/FLAC
streaming. I recently listen to albums that contain longer tracks and it
gets very noticeable, not to say: very annoying.

Thanks Michael, that is brilliant!
It would be great if there could be a little icon in the play view, that

Thanks for the documentation ;-)

About the continue: I received warnings that continue is allowed only in
a loop, so the script just skipped that (what makes perfectly sense to
me, as it was executing a function) and executed the next step in the
function. Changing continue to return (i.e. ending the function) did the
job for me.
