2.2.3 running and I have uploaded log as: martindt debug server.log.zip

[18-03-28 20:49:19.0890] Plugins::Spotty::SettingsAuth::handler (70)
Authorization failed: Segmentation fault

At least we know why it does not save the credentials. It crashes. Why
it would crash when called from LMS, but not when run interactively, I
have no clue. Doesn't make sense at all :-(.

When you run the manual test from the shell, did you use spotty-hf,
spotty-muslhf, or spotty? Could you try again with all of them?

Hi Gerhard - That's an interesting finding with C-3PO. I'll have to see
with Marco what happens in that case. It might be that the "-b 24"
option is a problem as it forces flac to not be compatible with the
subset specification (which is afaik, needed to make a fully streamable
format) - see https://xiph.org/flac/documentation_tools_flac.html and
https://xiph.org/flac/format.html#subset

With regards to field help and user guide, I normally have updated them
fully. Aside from my poor english, do you see anything specific missing
(the helps are in the file strings.txt in
/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/UPnPBridge and
the doc is one level below, in the HTML directory).

I've updated the pre-defined profiles, but existing one should work
un-modified

Thanks

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Squeezelite-X

2018-03-28 Thread rgdawson

New version1.3.6 coming, just submitted to store.

Changes:
* Added option to allow/disallow running in background.
Background/tray operation is default, but if you de-select this option,
then there is no tray icon and Squeezelite-X runs like a regular app and
terminates when you close the main window, rather than staying alive in
the tray.
* Simplified the Settings screen. I removed the Sleep/Idle timers as I
don't think they were much value added and I wanted to simplify things.
* Newer version of CEF library (browser engine). Nothing should be
different, but I might as well keep it up to date.
* New build of squeezelite-win.exe. Same version but Ralphy re-built
it with updated libraries.

As usual, takes a few days to get through the certification and
publication process. The legacy installer for Windows 7 is available at
the link in the first post in this thread.

- install Spotty 2.2.3 (or whatever the latest by that time...)
- enable DEBUG logging for plugin.spotty

Hi Philippe,

Sorry for the late answer, but I was traveling.

Happy to confirm now that the Repositioning works correctly, also with
my Denon as long as standard FLAC processing is used.

The issue only appears when C-3PO was invoked for the player doing some
transcoding, even if transcoding was deactivated which should be
addressed by Marco C.

This is what it ordered sox to do:

Code:

 "/opt/bin/sox" -q -t flac "/volume1/music/HOME/FLAC/Johnny Winter/[2002]
38-32-29 Blues/03 Johnny Winter - Five After Four AM.flac" -t flac -C 5 -b 24
--buffer 32768 --multi-threaded -

Other things you might want to do before releasing to public..?
- update the field helps
- update the user guide
- clarify: will the existing templates or configurations of the users be
affected or need to be updated? If yes you could explain in the user
guide?

Thanks for your great work!!

Thanks for the heads-up, we will try check this out.

@kidstypike:

As mentioned in the release, the new BT currently only works for output.
If you prefer using an input method, we recommend using the Jessie
version of Max2Play for now.

Important: Bluetooth Input is not yet supported, we are working on it.
Currently only works for Bluetooth speakers.

To avoid further confusion, here are the changes in this new version:

NEW LOGIN FOR SSH
- Password for both pi and root is now max2play

FULLY COMPATIBLE WITH RASPBERRY PI 3B+
- Important: You need the new Stretch Image to run the Raspberry Pi 3B+,
our Jessie Image 2.44 does not work with this new Raspberry Pi.

NEW BLUETOOTH PLUGIN
- While it looks the same on the outside, within our Bluetooth Plugin a
lot has changed.
- We now use bluealsa which runs much better and reliably.
- Important: Bluetooth Input is not yet supported, we are working on it.
Currently only works for Bluetooth speakers.

UPDATED PASSWORD PROTECTION SETUP
- Now preinstalled and with more security options for root login and
SSH

NEW KODI
- Newest Version for Raspberry Pi: Kodi 17.6-2 Krypton preinstalled

SPEED IMPROVEMENTS!
- Users have reported a 30% increase in speed when scanning their
libraries. Overall, the image runs smoother and faster.

NUMEROUS BUG FIXES THANKS TO OUR COMMUNITY

Have you given the 2.2.2 build another try? I f... up the binaries for
some ARM based devices twice... But then that wouldn't explain why it
does work from the shell, but not from LMS.

Just for my peace of mind: could you please re-enable logging for
plugin.spotty, go to Settings/Advanced/Spotty and try the authorization
one more time. Both using the app, as well as entering
username/password. Then upload your server.log.zip to

Great to hear it's working!

(Cheaper alternative to buying another SD card is to just write the
image to your disk, to restore from if needed - cheaper, but slower, too
:-))

I suspect there was a conflict with Max2play's Spotify Connect plugin,
which I have not installed this time.

Hmm... do they install their own Spotify implementation?

2018-03-28 Thread Adjunkten

Hi Michael,

I am pleased to report, that Spotty is up and running smoothly on my Pi.
I took slartibartfast's advice:

I suspect there was a conflict with Max2play's Spotify Connect plugin,
which I have not installed this time.

Anyway, thank you for your patience and great work with Squeezebox and
support in this forum.

Best, Lars
