Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBCiPlayer V1.6 (and higher) & BBCiPlayerExtra 2.0 (and higher) Support
A new LMS platform looks like its required then. I tried shutting down the LMS, rebooting the NAS, uploading and installing the latest i386 ReadyNas LMS which at least as far as the ReadyNas is concerned worked, it says "The Logitech Media Server add-on has been successfully installed." in the ReadyNas log, and despite another ReadyNas reboot, LMS can't be reached. This is where I got this time last year. The LMS server log shows 2019-04-05 15:10:03 Logitech Media Server died. Restarting. Which takes me over to this thread from last year, and the need for the root userid/password. Sigh. https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?109339-LMS-7-9-0-gt-7-9-2-daily-didn-t-work&highlight= --- http://markcathcart.com/about Running a ReadyNAS NVX LMS Server, currently 7.9.1; Transporter(Living Room)+Duet Controller; Squeezebox Touch(Master Bedroom), (2x)Boom(Office, Patio), Radio(Guest Bedroom), Classic(garage), Duet(basement) Also using Squeezeplay on Windows 10. An album title looks like this: "Die ??? - 028 - und der Doppelgänger" I wanted to keep these albums together when browsing all albums. Without the series name in the title, "028 - und der Doppelgänger", the album would end up between different kinds of albums. But maybe I'll change that. pippin wrote: > For its own menus, iPeng does already go to some length to try to find a > better index, like a.g. Ok, I just thought, because iPeng knows all the titles before they are displayed, it could filter out everything before ### (if it's the same for all albums in the list) and then use the numerical index instead. It could check the first x albums and if they are named in the same scheme ([SERIES] ### [something]), check all of them and then use 25 chunks or whatever. But I think I'll just change the album titles. It was just a thought. :) QLMS 7.9.2@2.04 x64 (digimaster) with perl 5.28 dedicated to me. :D / QNAP 469L QTS 4.3.4 dolodobendan's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=67663 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Whe I press the entry of a dynamic playlist, the entry gets marked but nothing further happens, the playlist will not be played. used to work in the past, but now it's broken. Last time I checked it still worked but I tried again today and found out that the streams start playing but fail after a few seconds. So I DO have the same problems. Would love to see the plugin fixed, thanks in advance for your work. My LMS is on a Pi/piCorePlayer, I changed the file Plugin.pm, and I now have both BBC iPlayer and Extras under My Apps. I'm still torn between keeping the index bar vs. going > > back to have a grid view... (you can enable using the A-Z grouping) You can also have the grid be used for an artist's albums. It's just the non-recycling view is too slow to load more than 300 items in one go. Previously paging was used - ie load 100, scroll, load next 100 - but people complained this was too slow. Hence the A..Z groups. I -could- add paging from the loaded list for the grid, as per previous releases. However, this would mean; a) the text key cannot be used (not without more work), and b) all items would be part of the HMTL DOM. All in all, for me, that's not worth it. p.s. I've almost finished implementeing CometD support (in the -23-cometd- branch). Had to make some hacks to the cometd.js library. I'm considering adding this into the 0.5.0 release too. But perhaps wait for the 0.6.0 release? cpd73's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66686 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

With PiCore Player files are kept in RAM so that on reboot/poweroff this change will be lost. I was trying to improve the performance of the 'view recycling' (which is what is used in 0.5.0 to allow very large lists (without needed A..Z groups)), and I removed the HTML parsing of items text/subtext as forgot why it was there. If only unicode supported a 1/2 star I would not need to use HTML here. Anyway, I'll re-add the HTML parsing. bobertuk wrote: > > What happened to the Grid display for Albums, New Music etc? Grid is still there, but *only* for lists of 300 items or less - new only has 100, so is not affected. I have just tried, and it is working for me. (Albums displayed in A..Z groups, or under Artists, can still use the grid (if 300 or less)) However, I changed how the 'use grid' config item is used - it now has 2 values; never, local albums only, whenever possible. Perhpas you need to re-set the is in Material's settings? cpd73's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66686 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
