Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 4.0 - integrate local library with your Spotify collection (LMS 8+)
Im not sure if this is the right thread to make this suggestion. Having recently installed Spotty 4.0, I find that Spotify Albums do not integrate with my local LMS music library if the artist tags do not exactly accord with how Spotify does them. For example my artist tags (artist, artist sort, and album artist) for the The Doors are all the same, and are Doors, The. If I add a Doors album in my Spotify library, it is listed in my Library under the Artist The Doors. Hence I now have two artist entries for The Doors. Similarly for the Artist Tori Amos. My local library artist tags are Amos, Tori. But a Tori Amos album in Spotify is listed under the artist Tori Amos. I would think it would be possible for the plugin to check to see how artists are tagged in the local library, and then insert the Spotify albums into the library accordingly. But maybe that would be hard. randy5419's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=70430 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111923 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Hi Philippe, Many thanks for the YouTube plugin - I've been using it for a year or so already on my raspberry pi based 'Max2play' squeezelite server and it's been fine. However, I just returned to the country after being locked out for 6 months due to covid and discovered that the plugin had disappeared from my 3rd party plugins list. Anyhow, I downloaded the plugin from your Github page and ssh transferred the plugin to my little server and set it up as advised. I use Orange Squeeze as the client on my phone and when I open the app I can see - and play my YouTube account playlists. I can also see the artwork thumbnails on the playlist thread but as soon as I select a track or playlist to play, I can hear the audio but there's just a generic 'YouTube' jpg displayed instead of the artwork that I always used to see. Have you any suggestions on how to overcome this? I also note that whilst I can see my created playlists, I can no longer search within the app on my phone for search strings to find videos to stream the audio of - it just returns 'empty' as the result. I've attached some screencaps to demonstrate the above points. Alexa shows the skill as linked. I removed all devices and did a rediscovery - it discovered my 52 devices but none from LMS-Lite. The discovery process does not create any new entries in the log. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] 'MediaServer' *certified* Alexa skill for LMS
FYI, I've been testing a beta with 13 new intents that address all the feature requests (I think) made by the community in recent months. It will soon be submitted to Amazpn for certification but I wanted to give a heads up. The possibilities include: * Play or Stream a *specific* version of a song from a -named album-. The current 'play song XXX by YYY' plays -all- versions in your library so if you have a lot of live albums you might get 20-30 hits. This narrows it down to a specific album hit only. * *Append* a named song or songs to the end of the *now-playing *playlist. Can be either all versions of the song or a version from a specific album. * *Insert* a named song or songs to *play next* within the current now-playing playlist. * *Clear* the current playlist. * Query what *alarms* exist for a particular player. * *Enable* or *Cancel* an existing alarm. * *Modify* an existing alarm by changing its set-time and also enabling it if it was disabled. "Alexa, ask MediaServer to change my 07:30 alarm to 08:00" Any other new features that I might have missed and could potentially include in the certification submission? philchillbill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68920 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111016 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Good point regarding certificates. I used LetsEncrypt for my non-ngrok connection. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] LMS-lite certified Smart Home skill for Alexa
You should not have seen a uuid at all during linking if not using ngrok and to be honest I do not see a uuid in your oauth token. You are getting a HTTP 400 Bad Request error when discovery is attempted. This is almost always down to Amazon not liking your SSL certificate for some reason. You can reach LMS from the browser no problem and you also reached it from my ISP when you were told that it responded correctly with version 7.9.2. This gives the impression that the proxy is working. However, getting it working to Amazon's standards is a different thing altogether. The skill logs are full of errors with people doing there own proxies while ngrok users almost never have an error. philchillbill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68920 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111443 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

When Alexa started the Discovery process that should have resulted in a new dialogue over your reverse proxy link. Does Alexa now show the skill as linked? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 4.0 - integrate local library with your Spotify collection (LMS 8+)
Michael, Long time user here. Not sure if this is related to the 'Spotty stops playing' issue we've all been seeing (and the recent posts by @Laz and @Slartibartfast) but after some experimentation I have a 'stops playing' problem that is reproducible (for me at least!) and seems to occur on short tracks. My system details are listed below along with a server log. During this log I was playing spotify:album:2J45fW4MpzNFwfSvnilbug and I was using a Windows Spotify client to play music on a Squeezebox. I enabled Info logging at about 13:08:42 and started track 8 on the album At around 13:11:33 play advances normally to track 9 At around 13:13:13 which is at the point Spotty should be getting ready to play track 10 the Windows client 'looses connection' - ie the green highlight dissapears. Track 10 is played by LMS but the Spotify client knows nothing about it. Play stops at the end of track 10. Attempts to reconnect the Spotify client to the player cause a flash of green highlight and an immediate lost connection. There is no log entry when this happens but using a terminal connection you can see the relevant Spotty helper process die and then get restarted some time later (which you do see in the log). To get things going again I use the Windows client to advance (and locally play a few seconds of) a track I know works. Selecting the player then works and we're back to normal. The problem tracks all appear to be short (less than 1:30) - not sure if that's relevant LMS (Version: 8.0.0 - 1590399854 @ Mon May 25 12:25:07 CEST 2020) on a Pi3B (piCorePlayer 6.1) Spotty helper: /usr/local/slimserver/Cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/Spotty/Bin/arm-linux/spotty-hf (v0.35.0) Players: Boom, Squeezebox, SqueezeAmp (one at a time - very seldom synced) Spotify Connect Clients: Usually Windows, sometimes Android and Linux. +---+ |Filename: server.log (1).zip | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=31078| +---+ Hughby's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=67120 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111923 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Both were OK on the previous track. Code: thread '' panicked at 'called `Result::unwrap()` on an `Err` value: ChannelError', src\libcore\result.rs:997:5 note: Run with `RUST_BACKTRACE=1` environment variable to display a backtrace. I'd assume this is the same underlying librespot issue based on the ChannelError.
