Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Squeezelite-X

2020-08-07 Thread rgdawson

Version 2.6.31 was uploaded tonight.

Changes:

- Implemented "screen-snap" for the main and minibrowser windows,
meaning the windows will "snap" to the screen borders/corners.
- Mini-browser has a new button that allows you to change the size of
the mini-browser window. It will toggle the size between 100% and
  85%.
- Removed the field in settings to define the LMS Http port. It has
been obsolete for some time, since SLX gets that port from the
discovery or the CLI interface so there is no need to have it.
- If mini-browser is set to "Stay on Top", then it will become very
slightly transparent when it does not have focus.

I have http://packages.synocommunity.com as source.
So I also don't know, how to solve this. Maybe I just try to reinstall
LMS completely. Or I decide to just accept this minimal manual step
every couple of weeks. Not the end of the world. First World problems.

Thanks again for your effort keeping LMS alive.

You need to save the preferences folder and content and replace the new
one with that. You also need to set permissions and ownership on that
folder the same as the one you replace. One last thing is when you copy
over a server.prefs file, make sure you remove the server_uuid value
before starting up the new instance, as it mightconfuse your players.

Initial tests with a Pi and an SB3. Works perfectly.
The Pi gets 24/96 the SB3 gets 16/44.1. Just need to try a mixed group
player. I presume it will sync the lower rate.

That is a bit more significant than a bug fix for Genres! may I suggest.
It means I can up my settings to 24bit and not worry about my SB3, Boom
etc
Whether my ears will spot a difference is another matter.
Off to try it over the weekend.
Cheers as ever.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Soundcloud plugin for squeezeserver

2020-08-07 Thread holck

I've previously used the Soundcloud plugin, but today it just doesn't
won't play. I can open the plugin, but when I try to play something,
nothing happens (except that if a song was playing, it stops). No error
messages, no errors in the logfile. I got myself a new API-key, but that
hasn't helped.
Server-version: 8.0.0, Soundcloud plugin version: 0.9.5

Any help appreciated

No, not on this end. There are no issues in the repo self test, the
DS720+ is also in the device list.

Do you have other active repo's, like synocommunity? If not, try adding
the 'synocommunity repo' (https://synocommunity.com/#easy-install) and
see if this repo has the same issue/ or is working.

The plugin ships with a genres.json file, so unless you create a blank
one it will use that. I need to re-check the genre filtering, but it
should basically work. If things are not as you would expect, set the
plugin's logging level to DEBUG and you should see a lot more info - it
shoud show response from MIP, why tracks were filtered, etc.

I thought it was turned off? You stated "when I select do not exclude
genres every track it finds fails to match genre." The issue there was
it was filtering on genre, when there was no genre => genre did not
match, filtered out. Genre filtering itself should work, as that is what
I use all the time - and its why I have groups of genres in the JSON
file. I found MIP would sometimes mix in a pop track whilst I was
listening to Rock, and I did not want that.

Plugin is still in development, so there will be issues - it works for
my use case, but will probably have issues for other use cases.
