If when you say Smpsu 600rs you mean the connexelectronix SMPSU600RS
they have a control input which you can drive from GPIO, it'll need a
little circuitry but about the same as an EM relay would.

I recognise I am on ancient version of piCorePlayer (3.21) so tried to
update that in situ but that failed also. Guess I wi;ll have to create
a piCorePlayer 6.0 SD card and try that.
However, surely I should somehow be able to upgrade LMS to 7.9.3 without
having to rebuild picorePlayer.? I

Tell me, one of the main problems with PnPIII is that it complains when
you try and play a 48kHz stream. "Samplerate not supported" is what
it'll tell you, yet it happily plays the BBC's 48 kHz streams!! :o

Lot of people using Pis use a GPIO pin+board to turn/off amps.
There are Google Home / Alexah alternatives using a wifi enabled socket
but depends on the brand. For example I did a simple plugin for TP-link

TL;DR: I want to add ratings to tracks individually while browsing an
album.
In the Default and Classic skins it is possible to rate tracks from the
album view. I

Well... My first brainstorm was a context menu for the various choices
of DSTM when you hold down on the *Repeat* icon. You guys beat me to
that one, but on the Windows 10 PC this option does not work. Is it
possible to create the same menu on a PC when the Repeat icon is hovered
over?

^Thanks! I would be using MAI for the kind of artist/album background
you'd find on Wikipedia so no need for additional artist or album
artwork. Sounds like the scan performance hit would be minimal in that
case.
