I have an Odroid XU4 running DietPi with LMS 8.1.1 and a Squeezelite player. In my study I have an iPad1 on a B Zeppelin running Squeezecast. The squeezelite player works fine with Spotty, but the squeezecast will freeze (requiring iPad reboot) unless in File Types I set Spotty ogg to disabled. >From playing around with C-3PO I saw the squeezcast reports it supports ogg, but apparently it does not (at least not in combination with spotty). Is there a way to disable ogg only for my squeezecast (e.g. by MAC), but not for the squeezelite player? /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/Spotty/custom-convert.conf does not change when I change File Types in the server settings. (or are settings stored elsewhere?) /etc/squeezeboxserver/convert.conf does not contain the spotty commands. Running LMS 8.1.1 on Windows 10 Updated to 20H2 19042.928 My 3 Chormecast devices have been working perfectly in LMS, but have stopped sometime during the last few months. I could still see them in the settings page for Chromecast Bridge in LMS. Got an error message when trying to create a settings file. After some hunting for what caused the error I gave up, uninstalled LMS, downloaded and installed the latest version from mysqueezebox.com (8.1.1). After activation of plugin Chromecast Bridge still only my PiCorePlayer and an original Player are working. In the settings page for Chromecast Bridge I try to generate a configuration file, get a message that it will take 30 seconds, but no castbridge.xml is to be found in the C:\ProgramData\Squeezebox\prefs. A maybe strange thing is that when I run the exe-file squeeze2cast-win.exe located in C:\ProgramData\Squeezebox\Cache\InstalledPlugins\Plugins\CastBridge\Bin it stops at this line: [15:53:39.909] Start:1037 Binding to 192.168.56.1 (http:0). The PC I am running on has IP 10.0.0.8, so the 192.168.56.1 must some default value. I have tried to turn of the Windows Defender firewall before trying to generat a configuration file, but no joy. XyCoa had some similar problem, but fixed it by turning of a function preventing DoS attack in his router or network switch. My router has a function for handling DoS attacks, but that has never been turned on. So what am I missing? Not really, but in low maintenance mode. I'm aware of several problems, like the 50 followers limit, or the fact that it doesn't work all that well with other skins. At the moment it's not really a priority for me to fix these things, as I don't use SoundCloud all that much. However, if any pull requests on Github I would merge without problem. I must have missed the message from dmon about this specific error. I can quickly add the missing string. That will not fix the fact you cannot play a song, but it would fix a crash of the plugin. Until now, i had to dig into Device Settings launch sugarcube settings, select filter, save. Can this be done via favourite also? You need to upgrade to very latest 8.2 nightly. OK - have updated to 661 and gave it the redirected URL to play ... and it plays well. During the process of putting 661 on the SqueezeAMP I had an issue ... I tried to shortcut the process by giving it the URL of the artifact of what is listed as the .bin but that gives a nasty looking error as it fails to write to SqueezeAMP. I suspect this is because the artifact downloads as a .bin.zip even though it is listed as .bin ... So I downloaded locally - unzipped - renamed the resulting squeezelite.bin to squeezelite-esp32-master-cmake-SqueezeAmp-16-V0.661.bin (to make it clear what it is) and then put it on a local web server ... and pointed the firmware update to it. Then all went well. However things move on and this new plug in gives me all of the old plug ins features and more. So here it comes again: Is crossfade supposed to work in iPeng Player as of April 2021? At least, I do see configuration settings in iPeng Player to activate crossfade between tracks (changes of this setting are even reflected in the player settings of LMS' config). But activating the crossfade does not have any hearable effect. The tracks are simply played one by another without crossfade.
