Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Spotty App not visible on the browser LMS GUI
I think it is not related to Spotty at all. I just installed the BBC app for testing purposes. It does not appear on the app gallery or main menu but is only visible when I check the option in the BBC extension to move it to the Radio section. So I think I have an LMS issue - but I am not aware that I misconfigured something on my own. I don't want to re-install LMS... Thanks for your thoughts. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] LmsUpdate and LmsRepack - Synology 8.0.* packages
Hi, I've some troubles (stop to work) LSM on my DS1815+. After some troubles with new Perl - it was working perfectly for last year. For security reasons I decided to make LSM on separate small NAS - DS220j. I've DSM 6.2.4. It was easy to find right ver. of Perl, but I cannot find LSM ver.8 which is needed to use LSM with Tidal. Can you help me to get this version of LSM, please? I cannot find those packages on SourceForge. If Windows Store updates SLX while it is running, strange things can happen. I have not figured out how to handle it gracefully all the time as I don't get normal application shutdown messages and a chance to shutdown normally. But you showing me that dialog is helpful, because my intent is to handle all exceptions without such a dialog popping up, so you showed me where I need to refactor a bit of code. In this case, when the Store terminated SLX, I'm not sure what happened to the running player. SLX probably did not have a chance to terminate it and sorta lost contact with it. You have given me some clues as to what happens when the Store replaces a running app. Squeezelite-X rgdawson's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=65236 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108550 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Radio Now Playing plugin
beta 0.0.10 now available for those who still have the experimental beta repo configured. This adds 9 stations from St Louis Classic Rock - https://stlouisclassicrock.com/ This is another set that TuneIn hides from UK listeners. The stations could already by added to LMS by hand if you worked out the stream URLs - and you would have received artist & title. With this plugin update you will get cover art and year in addition to artist & title. I had a request to add this yesterday. It took some effort to work out how to get the data but I was able to get it working just by creating a configuration file. I had to write some extra code to handle the conversion of the cover art id to a usable URL but overall it turned out to be relatively easy. Doing this the old way would have meant a whole new plugin and the probability that most users would not find it. Now anyone who has this plugin installed will have easy access to the extra stations. Of course, this approach does not really scale since there are too many different ways for broadcasters to make their data available (especially as they do not really expect it to be consumed this way). But it has certainly made things easier for me. Since others are able to use the iPeng player successfully over VPN, it is something peculiar to my setup. Since the problem is more in a moving car, it has something to do with connectivity. Since I have no difficulty streaming smoothly to other applications and the problem is exaggerated if a co traveler attempts a search, it suggests that iPeng player is more dependent on a consistently good two way connection and a responsive server. Your explanation that iPeng is controlled by the server then leads me to the conclusion that I need to improve the performance of LMS at home.
