I have become addicted to spotify thanks to the great integration into LMS that spotty provides, but as so many others, I would like to quit spotify due to the misinformation they provide a platform for - wish they had stayed a pure music service. You could try to use my "Groups" plugin to create a stereo pair that is dynamic so that by default, vis-a-vis LMS, they are not synchronized by default. Still, when you'll play on the virtual player to get stereo under LMS, the issue will be here unless the pair is separated in AP. Specifically, when the 2 HomePods are *not* set up as a stereo pair, I can specify each player to just output one channel, and then synchronize the 2 players to get stereo sounds coming out of the 2 HomePods. Works pretty well. If, however, the HomePods are designated a stereo pair in the home app (as is usually the case), one can send a stream to either one of the HomePods individually, but when synchronized, it causes the HomePods to alternatively play a few seconds out of one speaker and then the other. Having to break and re-create a stereo pair when I want to listen to certain music is less than convenient, and would appreciate any suggestions you might have. Hey Craig, apologies if this was already requested previously. Would it be possible to add option for long title wrap, perhaps with 3 lines display in browse screen? When using phone with podcasts (Spotify in particular but also others) its often impossible to read episode titles. All usually start with date and episode no. So there isn't space for actual title or subtitle. Already running at "small font" and no zoom. Landscape definitely helps but even with it some long titles are not fully displayed. Perhaps 3lines and title wrap could solve it if possible at all? . This might be genre-related since I listen to all older (50s-60s, singers, standards, doo wop, etc.) so there are a lot of slower-songs to begin with generally speaking so it makes sense why it's happening, again just wish there was a way to control it. Interesting. What you describe doesn't match my experience. What are your settings in "SugarCube Mix Mode : Standard MusicIP"? Is it possible it's too "wide" or "loose" and that swing is what gets you into ballads? The idea of restricting moods to time of day is interesting, but makes sense. I like the mixes I get with Sugarcube. However, I do wish Sugarcube had the ability to use moods and some of the other metadata being worked on with the Essentia/Musly/Similarity projects (search forums for more detail, if you're interested). Sugarcube already has the ability to query TrackStat ratings from an external source. I suspect it would be another query into a Similarity database to gather mood, especially since there isn't a way to get mood out of MusicIP (that I've found that isn't tedious and error-prone). [SlimDevices: Plugins] MusicIP, Spicefly Sugarcube and Tempo Changes
I understand Sugarcube doesn't support moods, but I'm wondering if there's any way through the use of recipes to better-control the tempo shifts that happen over time with the arc that MusicIP likes to build (basically alternating between fast and slow, with steps in between). I wind up sometimes with a good 60-90 minutes of ballads during the day, which I have to manually go in and re-seed the sequence to break out of. I'd like to have fewer slow songs play during the day and the opposite in the evenings, but I've not been able to solve it, and I don't want to try to do it through playlists or other band-aiding. Essentially wondering if there's any possible way to call a binary mood using a recipe. Just bizarre! I could play music via Squeezer to one of my Duets. But the handset assigned to it wouldn't. By selecting the other Duet from that handset and switching back to it's normal assigned receiver caused the receiver to reboot (slow flashing red light). Then it went through the normal colour change sequence after which the handset asked me to connect to music library and all was connected again. But no sound?!?! Thanks for helping. I've just tried installing Squeezer on my partners phone and get the same results, missing album art. So I'm guessing this must be something at the Server end? Phone file explorer only shows generic icons for any file across my network. If I type the IP address of the Server 192.168.0.33:9000 into my phones browser I get the LMS displayed with artwork. So I'm guessing it's not a firewall issue (not that I've even looked at such settings, let alone changed anything). ??? I don't know what you might look for in the log, or if you need to change any logging options, but as a start, it might be worthwhile to try this: Note the time and open Squeezer, if it fails to display artwork after a reasonable interval, close it.
