Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 4.0 - integrate local library with your Spotify collection (LMS 8+)
v4.8.4 tries (once again) to address the unwanted volume changes when Connect mode starts. Additional minor changes: - don't use the fallback AP if the spotty helper tells us it doesn't support it. - don't update the display name pref unless it has changed - increase the maximum number of podcast episodes shown in the Spotty menus Michael "It doesn't work - what shall I do?" - "Please check your server.log and/or scanner.log file!" I then have to stop the Spotify connect connection by telling my Spotify phone app to output to phone, then restart the next track and then tell Spotify phone app to output to Squeezebox. I'm asking because you said that new album*s* (plural) = 150 tracks were added. Your SQLite statement (like the built-in dynamic playlists) should only add 1 album at a time (unless no of tracks in album < min. number of unplayed tracks as explained). After updating to the latest DPL3 version you could clear your client playlist and restart your dynamic playlist. In my tests with the built-in album playlists no single tracks were added. atrocity wrote: > When you rewrote the plugin, I imported the old data Switching from the old DPL to DPL3 is no reason to nuke your LMS installation or delete all of your databse tables. Apart from a temporary database table (to prevent repeating tracks already played in a session) DPL3 has no database tables. atrocity wrote: > the odd inconsistencies that came from who-knows-where. Depending on the kind of the inconsistencies in your database, dynamic playlists may show different results for you than for users without these inconsistencies. That's not a catastrophe but not good either. A rescan (clear) can wipe/clear the library.db and repopulate it with the correct current data. The most important values in the -persist.db- are ratings, play counts, date last played and date added. Those are not affected by a rescan. Maybe get rid of the inconsistencies there, do a restart and then a rescan (clear). As always, make a copy of library.db and persist.db before you start working on them. Good luck. The file types showed InguzDSp, but didn't play. Removed the dll and the config from all folders and added them to one at a time. Can play but InguzDSP not shown in File Types. Try playing with the delay timers in the sync settings for the players. You might have to add a fake delay to the other ones. Try adding a big (like 1 second) to them ... one at a time ... to hear the effect in near real time ... Then adjust them (you cannot go negative). Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: AirPlay Bridge = integrate AirPlay devices with LMS (squeeze2raop)
Hi, I have build a system using the Arylic Up2Stream Amp V4 that works perfect. It is recognized by the AirPlay Bridge and can be controlled as other devices. However, when I start synchronization with another LMS player (either a Squeezebox device or another device via the AirPlay Bridge [I have WHD and Bose]) then I get a delay in the Arylic system. Syncing of e.g. WHD / Bose / Squeesebox devices only is no problem and works fine. I tried different settings but was not able to solve this issue. Does anyone has the same issue and was able to solve it or any other suggestion here? Or dies synchronisation with Arylic simply does not work. Fyi, I opened an issue on LMS for this '(#817)' (https://github.com/Logitech/slimserver/issues/817) and Michael has coded a fix for it. I took this as an opportunity to bring some of that more than a decade old code up to date. What I previously considered "legacy" code suddenly has gained a lot of interest, due/thanks to the Material skin integration. Yet: updating some of the libraries to their latest versions meant updating to more than 10 years old code... Please pay close attention to the behaviour of the settings pages in Material. I hope I didn't break more than I fixed :-). ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Sorry, don't use Qobuz. There has been a change to fix the "browseonlioneartist" command (well more to work-around a possible LMS issue). This adds parameters from the previous list command to the next - but only if it does not already have a parameter. e.g. if "artist_id:123" was used to show the current list, then "artist_id:123" would be added when clicking on an item, but only if it did not have any other "artist_id" parameter. Its -possible- this has broken something here but I'd need other users to confirm. Are any errors logged in the console tab of your browser's developer tools? Pity because the available apps (squeezepad and iPeng) just don't have the simplicity and elegance of Material. I'll stick with the browser version. Is there any way to increase the font size beyond the Largest setting (a way to zoom maybe?) which is still too small for my aged eyes. I know it's possible in the apk which is why I use the app on android but I can't find a working zoom setting in Safari. castalla's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15624 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Thanks for details. I think Perl and SSL are new enough not to cause problems for most streams. I Is there any pattern to when the errors were logged (e.g. evening, midnight shift, weekends, commute time weekdays) ? The type of program being broadcast (e.g. live, pre-recorded, very long) may hint when to test. The PlayHLS plugin implements a version of HLS from a few years ago - audio stream have tended not to use many of the newer feature (which are mainly video). IIRC DR Radio have tended to be a leading edge of broadcast tech. The problem maybe a new or little used HLS feature which is not implemented or its implementation is incomplete/buggy. With the Plugin version I can look at the line of code and try to understand what might trigger the error. The URL has 6 options for stream (and alternates) at 96kbps, 256kbps and 320kbps - perhaps the problem happens with one of the speeds/alternates. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103158 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Dynamic Playlists 3 - get help with your custom playlists
atrocity wrote: > intermittently selecting just individual tracks rather than entire > albums The important pref value in your case is the *min* number of *un*played songs. If the number of unplayed tracks in your client's playlist < min, then DPL3 will add new tracks, so that the remaining -un-played tracks in your client's playlist + the added unplayed tracks = max. number of *un*played songs in your playlist. For album dynamic playlists, there's the unlimited option so the max pref value won't split albums in the middle. Then album dynamic playlists should add 1 (or whatever album limit your SLQite code has) entire album. So if you use the unlimted option in your dynamic playlist, it will effectively disable the "max number of unplayed songs" for this playlist. But there are corner cases I suppose. Example: your *min* number of -un-played tracks = 4, DPL selects an EP or CD single with only 3 tracks (both considered 'albums"). That's below the min number of unplayed tracks, so it will add another album until the number of unplayed tracks in your client's playlist >= min. number of unplayed tracks. Anyway, that's the idea behind all of this. Thought you might be interested in how this works. BTW if a track's play count is null, its lastplayed value should be null too. You only need: ifnull(tracks_persistent.playCount, 0) = 0 'Ratings Light FAQ' (https://github.com/AF-1/lms-ratingslight) 'Dynamic Playlists 3 FAQ' (https://github.com/AF-1/lms-dynamicplaylists#faq) '*List of all plugins*' (https://github.com/AF-1/) AF1's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=39306 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115501 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Hi David, You might want to try and go to serversettings ---> network and there enable "persistent mode" or "cache http(s) streams on disk". This forces LMS to try again, or download the whole file. Or, is that the protocol limitation you were > referring to Craig/Michael? Material, despite its name, is more of an app than a skin. As such it uses a different API/protocol, called SlimBrowse. Unfortunately Spotty, etc, does not provide the year (at the required level) when this is used. You can see the same missing years using other apps such as Squeezer or iPeng. If Michael would expand the SlimBrowse API to have year (and track durations?) as separate fields (so not "Album (Year) BY Artist") that would be great - but it does require a change in Spotty and/or LMS. *Material debug:* 1.
