Thanks! So I've changed the way crypto libs are attempted to be loaded on MacOS and that might work. Can you try again the non-static version this time (1.0.6). We might have a working M1 build! Don't know what version it is, as it's still 'loading libcrypto in an unsafe way'. It looks like something has happened in the background because I do see now the Spotify Connect option on my Spotify client. This is strange as I have not changed anything. The only thing I've done differently is accidentally used Spotify on a Windows PC that allowed me to initiate an Authorisation process, that I believe ended up failing. Also, if I now go to LMS I'm able to use Spotify directly there. There is for sure something I'm not being able to grasp... There is now a weird behaviour whereby Spotify on my iPhone running Spotify Connect, is not in full sync with the song that is being played. Not sure if I will be able to properly describe what I've seen today. Say my Spotify client on my iPhone says song X is being played using Spotify Connect. Well, the song being played is actually X+1 but the iPhone client displays one song right before. If I now go to LMS, what is shown there is in sync with what is being played back; LMS is in sync, whereas Spotify Connect is not. If I skip one song, then the iPhone client is not catching up with what is being played back; it always seems to be one song behind... weird stuff, I know.. does this resonate if only a little? thanks! kitus's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=73121 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112254 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Do you know if there is an iPhone compatible player ? Excellent iPeng and the author Jörg (sorry I dont remember the last name) told me he was not interested in doing his iPeng player compatible. Other Macosx players as Squeezeplay are also compatible. Best regards jotap_66 By the way, I will never get tired of thanking Michael Herger for Spotty jotap_66's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5857 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=116999 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] AirPlay, Chromecast and UPnP bridges update
I think I have good news and bad news to report about the AirPlay bridge. I don't know if either is very significant or relevant. The good news concerns the interaction between the AirPlay and Group Players plugins. My typical use case is rather extreme: five AirPlay devices synchronized with three Squeezelite players. The Squeezelite players are connected by powerline ethernet, so all my wifi players use the AirPlay bridge. Synchronization almost always drifts a bit over time. When players get out of sync, I usually stop playback for about 30 seconds. When I restart it, starting from the beginning of a track, the players are usually back in sync. Occasionally, if that doesn't work, it's necessary to restart the AirPlay bridge. Since switching to the beta, sync has usually been consistent for hours. The only exception I've found is when playing BBC Sounds (Radio 3). Sync still drifts a bit in that case, but no worse than before. The bad news is that the beta consistently fails to recognize one of my AirPlay devices. The one in question is a piCorePlayer installation with shairplay-sync running, but not Squeezelite. (Two of the other players are Jam speakers; the other two are Pi zeros running shairplay-sync on Raspberry Pi OS.) I should also mention that the problem player has a hyphen in its name (Porch-pCP). I have now reverted to v0.4.63.1, and the missing player has reappeared. And unsurprisingly, sync is drifting more, again. Usually running latest beta LMS nightly on Raspberry Pi OS with virtual players (Squeezelite and Airplay bridge). Occasionally using SB Radio, Boom or Classic. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Denon AVP Control Plugin
mctr wrote: > Yeah, you probably did, I think I just forgot where to look. This one > looks like it's working. Thanks for the fix! I discovered an additional problem in your debug log, @mctr. Apparently, there is another difference between the Denon and Marantz telnet command protocols that I wasn't aware of. What Denon calls the Audio Restorer function (command "PSRSTR"), Marantz calls M-DAX (command "PSMDAX"). The result is that the audio settings menus are not being fully populated due to timeouts on the "PSRSTR" command. I have coded a fix but can't fully test it without a Marantz AVR. If you don't mind, I would like you to copy the attached two files to your plugin directory, replacing the ones currently there. Neither file should be renamed. Copy them as is. After copying them, please restart LMS, turn on debug logging for the plugin and do some testing that involves powering on the player, going into the audio settings menu and changing the Audio Restorer (M-DAX) setting (and changing it back if you like) and then turning off the player. I am assuming that you have set the AVR type in the plugin's player setup menu to "Marantz AVR". If not, please do so before testing. Thanks for your help. I'm sure the other Marantz users thank you too. :) +---+ |Filename: DenonAvpComms.pm | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=39006| +---+ Sam SamY's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=63495 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=60114 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Squeezelite-X
kidstypike wrote: > Old bug, same for me, needs dragging down onto the taskbar every > computer or application start. > > Some explanation... This is complicated. The Windows API does not offer any method or API to programmatically control whether the tray icon appears or is in the hidden area. The default is to locate the tray icon in the hidden area, which is why it reverts there after an update/re-install. It should remain/"stick" on reboots, though, so your comment above caught my attention. I was able reproduce your observation that the icon went back to the hidden area on computer restart. I went into Settings|Personalize|TaskBar - Notification Area - "Select which icons appear on the taskbar". In my case I noticed that I had SLX in this list several times. That is because I build and test multiple configurations of SLX: Win32/Win64/Store Version/regular version. Windows seems to remember any program it has ever seen. When I clicked them all on, then the icon stayed in the tray. You may see programs listed in "Select which icons appear on the taskbar" area that have long since been uninstalled and/or are no longer on your system. They are very trick to remove ('answers.microsoft.com' (https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/windows-10-notification-settings-uninstalled-app/517ce56b-c553-41d1-9756-66755c141f81#:~:text=1%201.%20Open%20the%20Registry%20Editor%20%28Run%3A%20Regedit%29,current%20programs%20the%20Notifications%20area%20will%20be%20restored)). If you have ever switch between the Store version and the Traditional version, you may see them both there. I'd say try clicking them both/all on. YMMV. Anyway, this is a Windows thing. There is nothing more I can safely do. What I cannot get to work so well is Spotify Connect - I get stuck on particular tracks (clicking next just plays the same track again); the track playing is different to the one showing as playing; and tracks that never end. Is there a solution that has worked for these problems? The reality, I suppose, is that I don't really need to use Spotify Connect and could just use Spotty, but we always want more! What I cannot get to work so well is Spotify Connect - I get stuck on particular tracks (clicking next just plays the same track again); the track playing is different to the one showing as playing; and tracks that never end. Is there a solution that has worked for these problems? The reality, I suppose, is that I don't really need to use Spotify Connect and could just use Spotty, but we always want more! oldius's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=65084 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111923 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] AirPlay, Chromecast and UPnP bridges update
This has some clues about that - seems to be due to versioning in library https://github.com/cl-plus-ssl/cl-plus-ssl/pull/115 Paul Webster author of \"now playing\" plugins covering radio france (fip etc), planetradio (bauer - kiss, absolute, scala, jazzfm etc), kcrw, abc australia and cbc/radio-canada and, via the extra \"radio now playing\" plugin lots more - see https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?115201-announce-radio-now-playing-plugin Paul Webster's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=105 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=116980 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I haven't done much of technical work in the last 15 years. I wouldn't expect for me to need to setup any sort of forwarding rules because, as you very well say, home networks have a deny all incoming network traffic unless previously initiated from within the network. I tried forwarding port TCP4070 just in case for some reason Spotify would challenge back my connection attempt using a different protocol/port from within the network. Pretty much like FTP. But if that would have proven been the case, I would have been reluctant to leave it like that. > > Please check your Spotify application's configuration.
