Nup, I have tried and tried so carefully but all I get is the browser
download menu, a shorter press in the same exact location of course
takes me to the menus/folders/c as it should. Will eventually try a
different browser and see if that works. I am using Duck Duck Go
browser.

The 2.1.12.2 plugin is now working reliably for me in passthrough mode
on Windows with every codec and bitrate I have tried. The only problem I
have now is that the "Feedback to LMS" function of "Player volume
management" does not function correctly with my Google Nest Minis the
way it does with the CC Video devices. Adjusting the volume by using
Google voice or Home commands, or the volume buttons on the device
itself, changes the volume but does not cause those changes to be
reflected in LMS. As a result, the volume reverts back to it's last
known LMS value at the beginning of the next track, due to the bridge
preceding each track start with a volume change command using its last
stored volume level. It didn't work that way prior to the "dev" versions
as I often change the volume with "Hey Google" voice commands on the
Mini in my bedroom at night, usually to lower it as I'm falling asleep.
When I do that now, I am startled when the volume reverts to its
previous higher value at the next track change. Again, the Google volume
change commands for the classic CC video devices are passed through
correctly to LMS, just not for the Nest Minis.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Dynamic Playlists 4

2022-12-18 Thread w3wilkes

@af1 Been playing with this a little bit! Thanks for including the BPM
filtering! I can create a "Dynamic Playlist" and set the number of
tracks to like 1000, add it to the queue and then save it as an M3U
playlist for use on my phone. My test for all my "Pop, Rock" type genres
had DPLC works much like SQLPlaylist, but I can't figure out where it
saves the SQL? Or is the SQL generated everytime the playlist is played
or added to the queue?

It would be nice if in DPLC where it lists created playlists if there
was a "Play" option along with the "Delete" and "Edit" options. Also in
Dynamic Playlists 3 (and probably 4) the was an option to "Edit"
playlists in the "Dynamic Playlists Creator" section where it lists the
DPLC playlists.

Great work on DPLC!

It still happen when the 2 parts are Windows but separated computers,
just very occasionally, compared to « all the time » when on the same
computer. It happens on the same computer because timing is a bit
different so there are more « chances » that all data of N+1 has been
received when only a small part of N has played.

When all N+1 has been sent, the server sends a FIN frame to close the
connection but the client will only see it when it has emptied all
buffered data. And that might take more than the 2 minutes of TIME_WAIT.

The whole idea of throttling down server does not work due to the level
of buffering made by the low layers.

It work with Linux, but it can be different reasons and only a tcp
capture would tell. Can be a different timing or a different reaction
from the client to the RST frame. I think you tried a Windows server and
a Linux bridge, so that excludes a different TIME_WAIT and a different
stack reaction to the lack of client’s FIN. I don’t think a Linux client
would send a FIN (even after receiving one) if the application has not
called close() or shutdown()

I import using the Custom Clock Helper plugin. The formatting should
not cause any problem with the import process. This morning I deleted
your Custom Clock styles from my LMS server and then imported them again
using the files I posted last night. They imported correctly. Just in
case, I have attached unformatted files for you to try.

You might check your server log for clues on why Custom Clock Helper
isn't importing styles or applying changes you make.

The 2.1.12.2 is fixing that issue, not in a way I prefer, but that seems
to be the only option. You don't see the problem happening on higher
bitrate because that very special sequence only happens is the N+1 track
is small enough to fit in the buffers but compressed enough so that the
CC plays track N for a long enough before requesting N+1, and so the
TIME_WAIT issue happens.

Thanks, but I'm beginning to lose interest as I hardly ever play my old
mp3 rips anyway. I did run some tests last night and found that the
error is much less likely to occur with higher bitrate CBR tracks and
nearly always happens with VBR content. The thing I find most
fascinating about this issue is the fact that it only happens when both
LMS and the plugin binary (the server and the client) are running on
Windows platforms EVEN IF THEY ARE ON DIFFERENT MACHINES (according to
your testing). I fully expected to see the errors when I ran the client
binary on Windows with LMS on the RPi running Linux but no.

I see that a new 2.1.12.2 version is now available. Are there any
changes in regard to this issue? If not, I will turn my attention fully
to the absolutely insane World Cup final that is unfolding before my
eyes right now. Looks like it's headed to a penalty shootout!

Hello,

Is airplay working for others who have docker on synology.

Just stopped working.

I also tried the dev branch 1.2 and it did not help.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin

2022-12-18 Thread audiomuze

Having recently returned to LMS I installed Material Skin and I have to
say it gives LMS much needed UI lift and I generally find that LMS with
Material Skin does a great job at providing a ubiquitous front-end to my
listening experience. However, the one thing I find really jarring is
that as soon as I've done a little exploring and then want to access
search I have to go looking for it. This happens as soon as you've
entered any of the following views or deeper.

Is is just me that finds this to be a strange (and annoying) choice,
given the urge to search for something can strike at any time
irrespective of where you are in the UI? Would it not be better placed
just to the right of the volume controls (if not by default can it be a
configurable option)?

Perhaps I've missed something, there a quick/easy way to access search
without first having to navigate back to My Music or the submenu behind
it?

I stopped the Squeezelite service and restarted Squeezelite with

Code:

sudo /usr/bin/squeezelite-armv6hf -o hw:CARD=E30,DEV=0 -V "E30 "

and that works. If I can get it working from the settings file I'll have

I mean where and how is shariplay-sync installed on piCorePlayer?
Because for the Airplay 2 Version, shairport-sync needs more
dependencies, different build options and a whole other program called
NQPTP. So its more than just updating the package to 4.1.1. I wanted to
figure out if thats maybe the problem why shairport-sync is not working
as an AirPlay2 player (no multi-room sync).

Best regards

First off, I can't believe you had the original ones from 2018. -AND-
that you took the time now to update the Touch version. Thanks much.

As for testing them, I can't get them to import into the Custom Clock
Helper GUI. My originals are all one line (no line breaks) where yours
are structured. When I paste one of the new ones into the "Import" box
it does not appear in the list of styles. To better explain myself, here
are screenshots from Notepad++ showing the differences. Perhaps there's
a different method for importing yours. If they need to be copied to a
directory, please tell me the path to the stored styles.

Thanks again.

Then select more from the item in the playlist -> more info and you will
see the URL. The last number in the url is the number of seconds in
that the sounds plugin will start playing on resume.

There's no need (but no harm) to post here - as I get emails when issues
are created, or updated. Anyhow, I had considered this previously - just
a matter of finding the spare time!

*Material debug:* 1. Launch via http: //SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json

messages, e.g. play queue) 2. Open browser's developer tools 3. Open
console tab in developer tools 4. REQ/RESP messages sent to/from LMS
will be logged here.

there this binary is not available anymore. I tried the other binarys

Can you please advise, what's the best solution to resolve this issue.

Thank you. I have been using mp3tag. It certainly makes it easier. I
always ensure my new additions are correctly tagged but I need to go
back through the 200+ albums I have and make it consistent. The worst
culprits are the compilation albums!

This discussion had prompted me to start the process!!!
