Don't know if this is related but I'm getting a problem when trying to listen to R4 using the iPlayer plugin on the Touch. Until I do this all seems OK including other radio stations (haven't tried them all though). [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBC iPlayer AAC streams
I see that the BBC live iPlayer radio streams have changed to AAC: http://www.digitalradiotech.co.uk/2009/06/bbc_aac_internet_streams_outclass_dab.php The current iPlayer plugin is only (apparently) playing the old, lower bit-rate, WMA streams. Am I correct and does anyone know if the iPlayer plugin (v0.6) will be changed to fix this? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBC iPlayer AAC streams
Yes, thanks Triode. I've just been reading some comments on the BBC labs radio blog: http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/bbcinternet/2009/06/better_sound_for_bbc_radio.html It's a shame. I'm thinking about Radio 3, but I can't really claim to listen to the radio with the same concentration I listen to my music collection so it won't make any practical difference. Listen again is still 192kbps anyway. Still, it would be nice to know I've got the best possible fidelity through my hi-fi.
