Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] LMS Announce - play announcements / notifications
I've updated to the latest nightly and now the saved playlist (before the announcement) does not resume. Does anybody, using the latest lms 8.2 nightly, have the same problem? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Community Firmware for Squeezebox Radio/Touch/Controller and LMS 8
Just rename fab4.version to custom.fab4.version and fab4_8.0.1_r16844.bin to custom.fab4.bin. Then update. Worked for me on my radio (baby). Once you are done testing/updated , remove the custom.* files. SC will NOT auto-upgrade new firmware files to the Controller when they are pushed out, if the custom.* files are located in the cache directory. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Run script when turn on player
Have a look at a plugin made by Catfish called SBnetIO. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Squeezelite to control amplifier power?
tdwesty wrote: Thanks for the suggestion. I assume you are referring to the numerous 433Mhz transmitters for use with the Pi, of which I see plenty on ebay. However, I have not been able to find a receiver/relay that uses 5V to switch the 120V power to the amp - most of them seem to use 12 or 24VDC, so I would need another power source. Not a big deal, but I thought that if a USB power relay solution existed, this would be a simpler solution for use with a laptop (of which I have plenty - I don't have any Pi at the moment). Another solution would be to employ an input signal sensing relay to control the amplifier power. Many new inexpensive amps have this built in, but I would prefer to use the NAD amps that I currently have. The idle current is probably very low based on the minimal heat output, but I'd prefer to switch them if possible. Thanks I also own a nad-amp and i control with lirc_web made by Alex Bain. I run it on a raspberry pi with squeezelite. My nad amp switches off and on with use of the plugin SBNetIO made by Cadfish wich sends a lirc command to lirc_web. Perhaps this also could be a sollution for you.
