This maybe what Michael was referring to but to can run raspian for
Magicmirror
Then switch to Jivelite on fullscreen when the player is on.
You could probably do this using the cli and a script

Would need more than a noob to do it though I suspect

2019-04-07 Thread Jeff07971

Hi

I have a problem with Mixcloud playing on my SB3's when I play on
piCorePlayer all works fine.
I think this is a decode/transcode problem as the server.log has this
:-

Code:

  [19-04-07 21:50:57.4752] Slim::Player::Song::open (410) Error: Couldn't
create command line for mp4 playback for
[mixcloud://analogtrip/analog-trip-edm-underground-showcase-25-feb-2016-estradiogr/]

(789) Problem: Unable to play file type for::
mixcloud://analogtrip/analog-trip-edm-underground-showcase-25-feb-2016-estradiogr/

I have tried the convert.conf options earlier in this thread to no
avail, anyone got any ideas ?

Thanks

I see this behaviour though its rather odd !

Powering on the player does not produce an indication on the meter
Playing prduces indication as expected
Pausing produces indication even if volume is 0 (Via SLX GUI)

Starting again with volume at zero produces no indication re pausing
produces indication again.

Powering off the player removes the indication

If I Turn up all the audio gains to full I cannot hear any audio output

As Django Says its worth checking though usually this is already setup
and is transparent to the user.

When connected (I take it you are ? You can check in the OpenVPN app)
have you tried scanning your 192.168.1.0/24 network with an app like
"fing" ?

Gobuleberbu wrote:

The GPIO on a Pi does not have enough power to run MOST relays, there
are a few it can but not many and are specialised.
Buffering is the circuit used to increase the power available to drive a
relay - See attached image.

Lets get the basics first:-
What raspberry Pi have you got ?
What DAC do you use ?

How does the relay power the amplifier 120/220 Vac ?

Then we can go from there, as I said I have never had any problems with
the -G option on pCP (PiCorePlayer) and use -G in 4 systems

Never had a single problem with the -G switch.

What version of SQUEEZELITE are you using "squeezelite -v" I think.

What GPIO are you using ?

How are you buffering the signal from the GPIO ?

I believe that this has always been the case, I do not believe its the
switch from WiFi to Eth or vice versa.
I think this is an issue that inbetween the switch the network goes
"Down"
I have seen this when changing the DNS or IP address etc on a wired only
PC
I simply close SL-X and restart it and this has worked every time for
me.

Hi Greg,

I can confirm that also, my minibrowser has always been fine with the

As soon as I use the ip (10.x.x.x) the minibrowser goes blank, when I go

Hi Greg,

I do not use user/pass on my LMS

I have attached the AppLog file as you can see there is a "ConnectAll
Called" every 8 seconds, it was actually hard than expected viewing the
log as it was refreshing the view every 8 secs as well !

Hi Greg,

The timing is more like every 8 seconds now you say it.
The "Browser" window within SLX refreshes and if in settings a refresh
spinner appears every 8 seconds, the mini browser also refreshes at this
rate.
I am running a nightly Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.2 - 1527223458
@ Fri May 25 07:13:44 CEST 2018 on Centos 7.5 Linux
I have tried using Firefox, Edge and IE non of these exhibit this
refreshing

Is there anything else I can do to help ?

Thanks

Hi Greg,

I'm afraid I'm reporting a bug ! (I think)

Squeezelite-X refreshes the whole screen (including mini) every 5
seconds, unfortunately its really annoying and have to minimise it

Was running 1.4.0 and seems to be after Windows 10 Pro x64 1803 update,
Now have 1.4.2 and is the same.

Have tried on two seperate systems with two separate LMS servers

Its probably a good idea to ask the question here:-

BTW Have you tried the command line version of squeezelite for windows
to see if that works ? That may narrow the problem down

I have tried licking :) "Update" but with no effect

Any ideas before I Un/Re install ?

latest version of Groups may have cleared this, I will check tomorrow.

BTW Is there a changelog anywhere ? I cannot find it if there is

That's probably a problem as neither the LMS Web GUI nor the SB3 remote
have a "Stop" button. I do see the reasoning though !

Hmmm I just tried this with mine. (V0.1.3)

I had just stopped the "Group" all players had powered off. When I
played BBC Radio 1 live on "Lounge" it started playing. The playlist on
all 3 of the group were synced IE BBC Radio 1 Live but only "Lounge"
playing.
With "lounge" still playing BBC R1 when I played BBC Radio 6 live on
"Bedroom1" Lounge started playing this also "Bathroom"'s playlist was
now BBC Radio 6 live but not playing.

Stopping "Lounge" also stops "Bedroom1"

I use "Powersave" to switch the players off after 15mins of Pause or
Stop
I use "Reset Volume" to set each player to a low volume (10 ATM) when it
is switched on
I use "Volume Lock" to restrict the maximum volume on some players

Thanks - I can Confirm this is fixed

I have 3 players in a group called "Bathroom_Bedroom1_Lounge"
Bathroom is SB3
Bedroom1 is Rpi3 with Pcp3.22 with Jivelite on Rpi touchscreen and Lirc
Lounge is Rpi3 with Pcp3.22 with Jivelite display on TV and Lirc

I have experienced some other "Weirdies" IE pausing One of the group
(lounge) via IR remote results in the player displaying "Paused" but is
actually still playing.
Volume Reset does not seem to work (when Grouped) wether applied to the
individual player or the Group

Sorry not to be any clearer but some of the "weirdies" are not always
reproducible if I can I'll try some more ordered tests to try and define
these more clearly.

Thanks for your work on this

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: Player Groups (alpha version)

2017-12-19 Thread Jeff07971

First of all thanks for this, it is certainly interesting.
The email notifying me of your announcement came in just as I syncing 3
player while I did some cleaning and was saying to myself "I wish I
could have groups of players" !!!

Some problems I have noticed:-
(In order of increasing seriousness (To Me :) ))

After using a group you cannot use synchronize on any former member of
that group (do not appear in Sync menu in GUI) until the player is power
cycled (software via LMS GUI) this may be due to my use of Syncoptions

I use some plugins to control some device options, these are
Powersave,Reset Volume,Volumelock these no longer function on the
grouped players.

LMS seems to transcode FLAC to MP3 (with LAME) for each member of a
group despite the fact that all player can natively use FLAC (see
attached logs)

I use the PowerswitchIII plugin to control the amplifier on one of my
SB3 player this does not function when the SB3 is part of a group.
The PowerswitchIII can only be enabled from the player menu on the SB3.
Because of this the SB3 is silent although playing fine.

Good News for FredFredrickson is that Alarms do seem to work OK
(Although with the caveat of the PowerswitchIII problem)

Hope this is helpful, If you would like me to test things just PM me.

Jeff

Another option is MobaXterm http://mobaxterm.mobatek.net/
I is a one program Scp/Sftp and SSH client which has lots of usefull

NP++ but its good enough that I rarely need to use NP++
Its free as well !

I tried opening "mDNS" UDP 5353 in firewalld but did not work.

FYI

I had the no Auth problem, No devices appearing on my desktop(win)
spotify.
No errors in Spotty debug log
No SELinux problems in audit log

Stopped the firewall daemon and it appeared, so a port blocking issue I
think. (What port does the Spotty Auth use ?)

There is no RTC on the Pi, the clock needs to be set everytime the Pi
boots

I have never needed to do anything "extra" from the standard Pcp as
regards NTP

I wrote a script that starts the VPN and checks the VPN connection every
10 minutes. It restarts OpenVPN if the remote network cannot be
contacted.

Code:

#!/bin/sh

  sudo openvpn --config /home/tc/openvpn/config.conf &

  VPNTest() {

#Check if the VPN is already being tested

  if [ -f /home/tc/TestingVPN ]; then
echo "VPN is already being tested"
  else

  touch /home/tc/TestingVPN

  # Get Local network address

  homenet=$(/sbin/ifconfig | grep -Eo 'inet (addr:)?([0-9]*\.){3}[0-9]*' | grep
-Eo '([0-9]*\.){2}[0-9]*' | grep -v '127.0.0')

  # Choose a host on the remote network

  testhost=192.168.5.2

  # If we can ping the host remote network then the VPN is up

  if [ "$homenet" != "192.168.5" ]; then
  count=$(ping -c 4 $testhost | grep 'received' | awk -F',' '{ print $2 }' |
awk '{ print $1 }')
  if [ $count -eq 4 ]; then
  hostup=yes
  echo "VPN is UP"
  else

  echo "VPN is DOWN"
  echo "Restarting OpenVPN"

  sudo killall -HUP openvpn &

  sleep 20
  count=$(ping -c 4 $testhost | grep 'received' | awk -F',' '{ print $2 }' |
awk '{ print $1 }')
  if [ $count -eq 4 ]; then
  echo "VPN is now up"
  else
echo "VPN is still down will try again next time this script is run"
  fi
  fi
  else
  # If we happen to be on the remote network without VPN

  echo "We're Home !"
  fi

  rm -f /home/tc/TestingVPN

  fi
  }

  while true
  do
  VPNTest
  sleep 600
  done

I added this to user command 1

Code:

/home/tc/Startvpn.sh

Seems to work fine

Hi Bpa,

I havent played this stream within 24 Hours (see "grepped" logs)
I have never knowingly paused a stream.

There are some (really) long "fetch times" in the log though

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBCiPlayer V1.5.2 beta test

2017-01-03 Thread Jeff07971

Hi Bpa

Had a rude awakening today.

I have as an alarm BBCi Player Radio 6 Music set for 0730Hrs
I was awoken at 0730Hrs by a very loud Radio 6 Music playing (it made me
jump so much I hurt my back), I bleerily turned it down to a more
reasonable level and slowly woke up.
As I lay there I wondered why the expected program was not playing and
that there was no 730 news, I looked at the display on my Pcp 3.02 and
it said Radio 6 Music - Delayed 87 Minutes !

I am assuming for some reason that the alarm did not do its normal fade
in hence the (very) rude awakening

I stopped the playback and restarted but was still the same. I then
stopped the playback and then played a track from my server I then
restarted the R6 playback and all was fine again untill the alarm
timeout.

At around 0900 I pressed play on R6 again and the same thing happend
delayed by 47 minutes this time. I then stopped the playback and then
played a track from my server I then restarted the R6 playback and all
was fine again.

I checked the time on the server but all was fine

Yes I see that does sound reasonable, but maybe its time for a change to

Just to let you know

My Pi with Pcp 3.02 + OpenVPN Client, has been running 24Hrs now playing
a random playlist and all is fine.

I also use a Hypervisor (ESXi 6) thought on a larger system and would
recommend it.

Theres a howto here on installing ESXi on NUC

OK seems fairly simple up to a point.

Load openvpn.tcz

ssh/scp in and create a folder openvpn in /home/tc

place config file (mine is config.conf) and certs in /home/tc/openvpn

Save config with filetool.sh -b

you can then run sudo
Code:

openvpn --config /home/tc/openvpn/config.conf &

to check the vpn comes up (I added auto auth to the config)

and make sure you put the LMS server ip address in squeezelite
settings.

All then seems to work fine for me.

Only problem is autostarting the openvpn client but maybe someone who
has more TC knowledge than I can advise !

Jeff

This is possible with a bit of linux knowledge, I have done this with
Cubietruck and I seem to remember doing this with raspian.

I think if your knowledge of Tinycore is good you may even be able to do
this by hacking Pcp as I believe TC has an Openvpn client.

No worries Ralphy, the thanks is all mine !

I have a question, not sure if it should be here because it naturally
follows or if it should be in "Jivelite for Picoreplayer"

Can anyone tell me why the 1920x1080 skin does not work in Pcp but does
on other systems ?

After getting your fb only version working on Cubietruck (which was for
a friend) I miss the full 1080 experience going back to Pcp (My
system)

Is is a limitation of SDL in Pcp or TC ?

Thanks

Hi Philippe

It seems that your Youtube plugin is being affected (I'm assuming) by
the move to https on sourceforge Mentioned in posts about your LMS to
Cast Plugins

Code:

  [16-02-15 21:20:26.1848] Slim::Utils::PluginDownloader::install (159) install

Hi Ralphy,

Thanks for that it works now (in 1920x1080 only)

Now got to reload the whole system, I did all the work, got it working
really nice then did an update to debian - bricked it, DOH !

Are there any 1920x1080 skins with player controls or is it only Joggler
that has those ?

Thanks for that Ralphy, I tried it but this is really pushing my linux
knowledge to the limit, I know very little about displays as I usually
work console only.

A weird thing happens when I try to run your fb only jivelite,

If I start jivelite from an SSH session I get the "Jive Lite" 1st screen
(on the TV) and then jivelite appears to start but the screen is
"ripped".

If I start jivelite from a console session I get the "Jive Lite" 1st
screen (on the TV) and then the TV goes blank and says "no signal"

I'm assuming this is a resolution thing but have very little idea how to
fix it.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Jivelite on Cubietruck

2016-02-11 Thread Jeff07971

Hi All,

Has anyone got jivelite working on cubietruck (ARMBian Jessie) with HDMI
screen output ?

I have installed Jivelite (together with Squeezlite and LMS) on
cubietruck.

Squeezelite (output to SPDIF) and LMS run fine but I can't get Jivelite
to work on HDMI (to TV)

Jivelite works fine over a forwarded X session, but when I try on the TV
I get the "JIVELITE" title screen and then the screen just goes blank.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Jeff
