For me it's about price, yes. Deezer has a large catalog,
Hello,
For now I can't share much as it's a hacked together solution not worthy
of being called programming/scripting.
If you like to know what's going on under the kitchen sink in LMS, then
I can tell you it's in the Spotty plugin, in the custom-convert.conf
file. For every spotify track
I understand there is no interest in Deezer HiFi.

I had UPNP failing on me once, because of multiple times the same player
name but with different MAC addresses.
There is a plugin to clean up orphaned players. I tried that, restarted
LMS, and UPNP worked its magic once again.

After a few days of tinkering, I have succesfully changed
custom-convert.conf (under Spotty) and added some bash
scripts+deezloader to play Deezer HiFi Tracks instead of spotify ones.
I'm not sure if I can share that here, as deezloader isn't using the API
but rather a hacked way of accessing
Not sure if it is a problem, but I see the following on my Ubuntu
server:
root@:/home/xbmc# ps aux | grep spotty

Hey all,
I'm currently running a 90 day trial of Deezer after the HiFi option
dropped to 14.99.
I'm fully aware that the Logitech deezer plugin (mysqueezebox) doesn't
support HiFi, but only 320kB.
Part of doing the 90 day trial was, for me, to look if I can get the API
working & eventually

Once again, "we are not worthy!" Thanks for the incredible speed at
which Spotty gets developed & fixed!

I was talking about spotify connect repeating tracks when pressing next,
not related to the outage I think.
Hello,
Is a fix for the broken playback 2.6.2 coming, or is it possible to
downgrade to a lower version?
Thx

Happily running Spotty since conception.. :)
However, a problem today:
I see spotty went to version 2.6.2, my LMS was at 7.9.1 (running on
Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, x86)
Since then, using spotify connect, I get repeating tracks when pressing
next on Spotify Android (controlling connect) while android
Hello Michael,
In the latest Spotify (desktop) release I've noticed that volume
normalisation now has three settings. Not sure if this is a server
side/client side implementation, but if server side, will it make its
way to Spotty?
Thanks for your ongoing and neverending work on LMS/Spotty.
OK, feedback:

Could be the case. I'm sure I had 8.4.37.587 working perfectly, it
doesn't anymore.

Thanks all for
Not entirely sure if this is a spotty problem (I don't have hardware
"connect" devices to test with)

Just got the update to 2.1.5
Playing, next, previous, seek, ... all works. Except Pause. Doesn't
pause. Second time I hit pause the track plays from the top. Will
restart everything to see if the problem is on my end.
Is rolling back a plug-in possible?

Never mind my last comment. After a while all players go weird.
Restart LMS is the only solution for now.
I'll wait patiently for a fix, and willing to help (log files, ...)
where needed.

Been testing the "skipping issue" where Spotify skips a track and
indicates it stops playing.
So far it seems the issue only happens on Linux squeezelite clients.
Tried v1.8.2 and latest git build. (Ubuntu 16.04 lts) Starts after
turning off and on the player. Also same issue on the latest

Since 1.9.7, I start a track (android - spotify connect) - it plays 5
seconds to 10, skips to the next track, keeps playing but indicates on
android as "stopped" as soon as it skips.

Mherger,
First of all a BIG thank you for, not only, adding spotify connect to
our beloved Squeezebox environment, but implementing it correctly where
is feels perfectly part of LMS/Squeezebox. And with gapless support, no
less!
Big Kudos to you - this works better than squeezelite and

Maybe it's lost in the thread for me, but since 1 or 2 months I have
trouble with gapless playback. I'm pretty sure the spotify plugin was
capable of that before?
Running 7.7.4 of LMS. Can't really tell which version of the plugin but
the libspotify API is 12.1.51.g86c92b43 Release Linux-i686
Is anyone using BRUTEFIRDRC in combo with 3rd party Spotify plugin? I
can get brutefirdrc to work on local files, even on local ogg files, but
on spotify it always bypasses.
Thanks

Hmm too bad - I saw there was a custom-convert also in the spotify
directory, but I guess that approach will not work either.
Thanks!

Probably it could be done after squeezelite - Create an alsa loopback
device into brutefir into the DAC - but I have to find another forum for
that ^^

Would someone be so kind to explain how I can use the folders in
playlists function on the squeezebox? Does it correspond to the
folders in the windows spotify application?
Playlists work fine, I'm just overlooking the folder part, probably...
Thanks.

Thanks! I tried to test it before but didn't wait enough for squeezebox
to sync with this, I guess ^^ Oops.
