Trying to get the plugin working on raspberry pi 2 with max2play, I also
tried with picoreplayer first and was unable to get it working. I
switched over to max2play hoping maybe the issue was missing packages,
but max2play not working either

did a clean install of max2play

when I try to play one of my playlists it just tries one track after
another endlessly with the following errors

[21-06-24 23:55:48.7727] Plugins::YouTube::ProtocolHandler::__ANON__

[21-06-24 23:55:49.4014] Plugins::YouTube::ProtocolHandler::getSignature

(786) no player url to unobfuscate signature

libio-socket-ssl-perl libnet-ssleay-perl are all installed

I'm using the same google account that I have working on a different
setup with debian, that one works perfectly and is running LMS 8.1

This max2play setup is running LMS 8.0.1 - perhaps that is the
difference maker?

Any suggestions?

It's working for me! Thank you philippe! Greatly appreciated. Sorry
for not confirming sooner.

Any plans for including artist information? I get the track titles for
the songs in my playlists, but no info for the artist... Not a big
deal, just curious.

Once again, thank you for your wonderful plugin. You've given my LMS
set up new life. After google music went the way of the dodo, I've just
been listening to Pandora. Really been missing my playlists and the
ability to search for tracks and play songs on demand. So grateful to
have those features back :)

Thank you for your response philippe. And thank you very much for all of
your hard work on this plugin. It is greatly appreciated.

I'd love to read the explanation, if you could give me the date and time
it took place on this thread I will go check it out.

Is there anything I can do to remove these tags? Some of my favorite
songs are not being played...

Maybe I could run some type of cron job that wipes out all these tags
every night?

Logitech Media Server Version: 8.1.1 - 1610364019 @ Thu Jan 14 06:24:58

I am able to play music now, playlists load, tracks advance.

I have a strange bug though, every time I play a playlist and interrupt
playback of a song to play something else, the song I interrupted
doesn't load next time I play that playlist.

The behavior is as follows, I play playlist1, all the songs load,
everything works fine

If I immediately interrupt the playback and select playslist2, all the
songs in playlist2 load, everything works fine

if I then immediately interrupt the playback and select playslist1, all
the songs in playlist1 load, except for the first song in the playlist,
song2 begins playing

if I then immediately interrupt the playback and select playslist2, all
the songs in playlist2 load, except for the first song in the playlist,
song2 begins playing

if I then immediately interrupt the playback and select playslist1, all
the songs in playlist1 load, except for the first TWO songs in the
playlist, song3 begins playing

if I then immediately interrupt the playback and select playslist2, all
the songs in playlist2 load, except for the first TWO songs in the
playlist, song3 begins playing

if I then immediately interrupt the playback and select playslist1, all
the songs in playlist1 load, except for the first THREE songs in the
playlist, song4 begins playing

if I then immediately interrupt the playback and select playslist2, all
the songs in playlist2 load, except for the first THREE songs in the
playlist, song4 begins playing

So on and so forth

And I've also just realized that if I let the first song in the playlist
complete, and then interrupt playback on the next song, then that song
no longer loads the next time I play the playlist...

So it seems whatever song is playing when I interrupt playback and
select a different playlist, that song no longer loads next time I play
that playlist

My playlists are slowly being butchered as I experiment...LOL

I've lost the first 6 songs on one of them, and the first 4 and song6 on
another...

If I can't fix this, I'd at least like to figure out how I can at least
reset the damages and get my playlists back. I tried rebooting LMS, but
the songs that won't load, still won't load...

As I play around I'm getting error messages like:

2021-04-27 Thread mikeybs

Seems like I am pretty close, but something is wrong...

Instructions say to click "create credentials", then "OAuth Client ID",
then "Other"

I do not see an "Other" in the applications types. I first tried with
"Web Application"

And I was not able to get an authorization code and the link "click here
to authorize" did not appear, in the logs I had the error:
Plugins::YouTube::Oauth2::__ANON__ (97) 401 Unauthorized

I then tried again and chose "Desktop App"

That got me quite a bit closer, I got the authorization code in red, and
the link "click here to authorize". I clicked and authorized
successfully.

I can now see my playlists in "My Playlists", I can open them and see
the songs inside them, but when I try to play a song, it does not work
and I get the error:
Slim::Control::Request::execute (1888) Error: While trying to run
function coderef [Slim::Control::Commands::playlistJumpCommand]: [Can't
locate object method "get_cookies" via package "HTTP::Cookies" at
/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/YouTube/ProtocolHandler.pm
line 386.]

It does show the art work for the song and it shows the length of the
track, and it looks like it is playing with track time incrementing, but
no sound. Track loops over and over.

when I refresh the web interface the track time goes back and 0:00 and
then starts incrementing again...

Frustrated... I feel like I am SO close. Google music plugin stopped
working for me some time ago and I thought this plugin would be the way
forward since Google Music is gone and Youtube Music took its place.

Should I be choosing one of the other application types when I create
the OAuth Client ID?

So this doesn't happen if I play my music from my playlists in My Music

tracks only end early when listening to music in the All Access section,
either playing a radio station or listening to an album I search
for

Can anyone else replicate?

I am not using two step verification, and I have access for less secure

so that doesn't appear to be the correct syntax either

Should I try turning on two step verification and using an app password?
I just don't want to break my other setup which is currently working...

I tried doing this and the script gives me an error saying incorrect
username or password

I definitely have the correct password. I must be messing up on the
syntax somewhere

I've tried

./mobile_devices.py usern...@gmail.com password
./mobile_devices.py username password
./mobile_devices.py 'usern...@gmail.com' 'password'
./mobile_devices.py 'username' 'password'

each of those give the same output:

What am I doing wrong?

I've just logged into gmail twice using the same credentials with no
problem

2019-06-02 Thread mikeybs

Just did a clean install of debian stretch with the nightly 7.9.1 LMS

followed all the instruction on the readme.md

Not able to get anything working

I believe it may have something to do with device ID

I tried using the the ID from my mobile phone with the device ID app and
Google Service Framework ID Key, also tried a blank, also tried 'a'

If I use a blank I get the message: No mobile device (phone or tablet)
registered for Google Play Music. Not able to obtain the mobile device
ID automatically.

I have an all access subscription

I have another install of debian where the plugin is working, but I am
having the issue where tracks end prematurely and I am also unable to
searches, so I thought doing a clean install would be the best way to
move forward. In that setup I am using 'a' for the device ID

I see that you updated the instructions page and included a repo.xml. I
did a clean LMS 7.9 nightly install and followed the installation
instructions. The only comment I have is that the plugin no longer
seems to be capable of figuring out the mobile device ID on its own.
This did work back in the early days of the plugin (well over a year
ago), but I haven't seen it work in quite some time.

After I manually put in the mobile device ID and restarted LMS the
plugin works as expected. Search works fine. Per the instructions I
used:
pip install gmusicapi==10.0.1

Does that install the latest version of gmusicapi? or is that just the
version you tested with? Wondering if I should stay up to date with
gmusicapi changes or just leave it be with the version installed by your
instructions...

I'd very much like to give your new version a try. Is there a repo.xml
I can use to perform the install via the LMS web interface? If not, is
there a more manual install method I could do?

ok I got it

add the following to /boot/config.txt:

then put this in /etc/modules:

I'm rockin and rollin now :)

It did not work. I am unsure if maybe I loaded them in the incorrect

 UPDATE
Could it be the lack of kernel dma modules in max2play?

 picoreplayer output:
 tc@piCorePlayer:~$ ls /lib/modules/3.14.4-piCore\+/kernel/drivers/dma
 bcm2708-dmaengine.ko virt-dma.ko

These modules are missing in max2play...

Do I have to compile a new kernel to get the hifiberry DAC+ working?

I'd like my RPi 2 to run both LMS and squeezelite using hifiberry DAC+
for a self contained system...

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Smart Mix plugin

2014-05-12 Thread mikeybs

I love the smart mix plug in and I have been using it with my local
music and spotify with great success. I just started using google music
and the 3rd party squeezebox plugin found here:
https://github.com/hechtus/squeezebox-googlemusic

It works great and I would love to get rid of spotify and replace it
with google music, but I would sorely miss the smart mix integration...

Could support for google music be added to the smart mix plugin?

[SlimDevices: Plugins] seeking android controller app for device with landscape display

2014-04-25 Thread mikeybs

I have a grandstream android desktop phone, the gxp2200. The display is
longer horizontally than vertically, and when I try to use the official
logitech squeezebox controller app the interface comes up sideways

I don't see any settings for the app to change display options...

Is it possible to get the official logitech squeezebox controller app to
load right side up on a screen that is horizontally longer?

If not, does anyone which, if any, of the alternative apps are capable
of doing this? Most of the alternatives are not free, so I don't want
to go buy them unless I know they will work as desired.

not sure how I missed that, I went into that menu too... maybe because
that option is not there in the iphone app which is what I am used to
using

anyway, I found it now, had to uncheck lock to portrait mode and
restart the app

it is loading right side up now

screen size is 480x272
running android 2.3.5

it's definitely not as usable in landscape mode, only 3 list items in
the scrollable pane are visible at one time...

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] NPR radio v1.03 not working

2014-04-24 Thread mikeybs

I just recently began using LMS, and getting more and more into it. I
listen to NPR all the time, so I'd like to be able to listen to it on my
LMS setup. Are there other plugin options for listening to NPR? The
plugin looked really nice, it had all the shows I like accessible
anytime with past days episodes as well. So I was really hoping I could
get it working... unless there is a better alternative?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)

2014-04-23 Thread mikeybs

is there any way this will go away at some point? I see that spotify on
sonos supports 3 simultaneous sessions. I'm guessing because this
plugin is not endorsed by spotify they probably have little interest in
lifting the limitation, but I figured I'd at least ask about the status
and if there is any possibility of this limitation being eliminated.

I am really enjoying this plugin with my LMS setup. I have 6 zones, so
I would really love to be able to have more than 1 session
