I have no idea what caused the writing error in the first line of the
log, there is enough free disc space left and also the permissions of
files and directories are looking good.

In which file is the username and password for the Spotify protocoll
handler stored?

Thanks. There was enough free disk space. I found that when I unchecked
"disable cache" in the SPH settings, the error went away (and a load of
cacheing info turned up in the log). Still no luck playing music though.

Can you check your LMS cache folder (see Settings/Information) whether
there is enough free disk space on that partition, and whether the
permissions are correctly set up? There should be a spotifycache
sub-folder in which that file would be written.

Thank you Michael and Schoepp.
I had checked it and all items produce the "PASS" on the plugin page.
It seems that all is fine now. I'll will see if the music will start
when the alarm goes off tomorrow morning.

Yes, I have done that and all the credentials match. Here's what happens
-after- I change all the passwords and they match:

- Hit "Apply" to update password in Spotify Protocol Handler settings
  page in LMS configuration.
- The spotifyd.log logfile shows first "Spotify Protocol Handler
settings page in LMS configuration" and then immediately "logged_in:54
logged in". Then information about credentials blob etc. See "Log
  Extract 1" below, noting timestamps.
- Spotify Protocol Handler settings page in LMS configuration shows
logged into Spotify. See "Screenshot 1" below.
- Start Softsqueeze player, navigate to playlists in Spotify app and
  attempt to play Spotify track.
- Track immediately says "stopped" and does not play.
- The spotifyd.log logfile shows new connection, something about
streaming a track and then immediately "no remembered user" and "bad
request for socket or no track" straight after that. See "Log Extract
  2" below, noting timestamps.
- Navigate back to Spotify Protocol Handler settings page in LMS
configuration and it shows "Not logged in to Spotify\ Login Error:
Password not set". See "Screenshot 2" below.

It looks like my credentials are not stored or lost somehow. What does
the following log line mean:

Code:

[21:52:57.835180] log_message:81 log: 20:52:57.835 E
[offline_authorizer.cpp:49] Unable to save file: offline.bnk

Is that a credentials file which can't be stored? It's in the first log
extract below. I vaguely remember something like this from the Triode
plugin.

Also what does this error mean from the previous logfile I posted?

Code:

*** Error in
`/volume2/@appstore/SqueezeCenter/Cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/SpotifyProtocolHandler/Bin/arm-linux/spotifyd':
double free or corruption (!prev): 0x00874898 ***

Many thanks for looking at this again.

I had the same issues also some times in the past. For what reason ever
I had also to enter my spotify password in the settings page of the
spotify handler after a reboot of my LMS, but during the last weeks a
reboot caused no problems. I'll take a look, if the problem still
occures.

Internet connection seems to be OK. And at that time nothing has changed

I'm not talking about Spotify's web player. If you change your password
you'll have to enter your credentials on mysb.com, activate your account
there, then return to LMS and enter the same information in the SPH
plugin's settings.

Yes, I'm using the same credentials I use to login to the Spotify web
player. In fact I went to the Spotify account page and changed my
password then tried to play a song in Softsqueeze. Here's what happened
in the log from that moment on. It looks like the login worked, then

Would it be possible for the Spotify protocol handler to automatically
log you in?

IIRC the plugin already does this.

At one location I turn off router, modem and computer running lms for
weeks at a time. I've never had to re enter Spotify credentials in the
Spotify protocol handler.

I've had frequent problems being logged out from the Spotify protocol
handler. I discovered that if you're router was turned off during the
night, you would inevitaly be logged out from the Spotify protocol
handler. Same thing if the internet connection was being interrupted...
Would it be possible for the Spotify protocol handler to automatically
log you in?

2016-11-15 Thread Michael Herger

The credentials are definitely right, I can see my private playlists
etc, but the streaming-level debug log says:

Browsing and playback are two distinct components. You have to configure
the SPH plugin independently. You can get the credentials right in one
place (mysb.com - providing the menus) and fail the other one (SPH -
failing the playback).

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Spotify app + protocol handler - no remembered user

2016-11-03 Thread SamCritch

Hi,

I have a Synology NAS which is running Logitech Media Server, the
Spotify and Protocol Handler apps are installed, and my player is a SB
Classic. I can't hear any Spotify music on the player, but I can see
e.g. my list of Spotify playlists in the Spotify app on the player, and
I can play music from my music collection. When I fill in the Spotify
username and password details in the settings for the Protocol Handler
app, the password doesn't seem to be saved, and I get an error in the
log saying "no remembered user".

I've tried rebooting the NAS, upgrading to the beta LMS, opening up port
9005 to the NAS etc etc, but I still can't get it to work. Any ideas?

Many thanks in advance,

Sam
