May I suggest adding a line at the beginning of the OS detection routine
such as (I'm no perl programmer...)
Code:
if ($os->{'osArch'} =~ /i686/) {
$bin = "shairport_helper-x64-linux";
Jailbreak?
I have seen this with some users using a jailbreak and I have to admit I
have no idea what causes it.
Maybe Apple has made some changes that break stuff on jailbroken
devices, non-jailbroken devices seem to be unaffected.

Hi again,
Nothing is making it through to squeezelite, but this is what I'm
getting in the server log:
Code:
[17-08-09 20:18:12.8348] Plugins::BBCiPlayer::DASH::canSeek
Just checked my settings and by default SPOTTY flac & mp3 are disabled,
pcm ofcourse enabled.
Depends on your system. mp3 requires flac, which isn't part of LMS.

Good but as discussed . You can use flac it's still lossles and the same

It seems there is a bug with the latest version of Ipeng. Since the
recent upgrade to 9.3.1, I've been unable to launch the app - it crashes
immediately after the splash screen. I've tried to reboot my phone, and
reinstall the app, but the problem persists.
Hardware: Iphone 5S, IOS version 9.2.1
Fix is available. Please test the latest and greatest 7.9.1. Thanks!

Hi,
I'm using the latest 1.5.4.4 from the test repo and see the Radio 3
flac channel under Radio 3.
Every time I try to play a flac stream (last attempt was yesterday
evening's prom at 19:30), the stream looks as if it is going to play
(counter reaches about 4 seconds), the metadata is
Audio and Metadata/ image comes from two different sources - so having
one does not imply the other.
Counter on GUI does not mean anyhting - it will always start counting
before connection is made.
Any message in the log file.
Are you in the UK ? Which menu did you try to play ?
What OS ?
What
Also eager to try it out! @dazuag, please let us know if there is
something we can do to help out (testing etc) or if the current version
of the plugin is available somewhere.

The difference in processing berween a DASH/Flac and DASH/AAC is very
small and is common for initial communications .
What bit rate is being shown for the Radio 3 stream ?
What is the value of "Seconds to delay start live stream" - can you try
no delay as squeezelite can play aac and flac
Hello Erland,
I bought the lifetime license quite some time ago and it was worth every

Pro+. Decided to try PiCorePlayer and Spotty, and it works great, but
I would like to run the full stream. I read through all 95 forum
pages, and see the teaser above, and the authors reference to turning
off the PCM conversion to Flac. I tried changing a few settings in the

Adding to that I think there is some confusion with 16bit/44Kbps which
is the level at which CD operates.
AFAIK Spotify Premium streams at 320kbps Max. Spotty converts the OGG
stream to PCM or FLAC but it remains lossy as the original Spotify
stream is.

If Touch works then for other player it is a matter of right transcode
setup. IIRC 7.7 does not have the support for mp4. 7.9.1 has the support

I don't know mixcloud but at a guess it is mp4 (mime tye audio/mp4) -
since it works on Touch - look at the More menu when a stream is
playing.
Yup the mixes I'm trying to play are Mp4 files. No hope for the

Hello guys! I recently bought a Monster streamcast HD S1 speaker, I
tried diferents configurations with poors results, only 2 or 3 songs
play continuous maximun, I read and read the documentation but I don't
find any config right for this speaker system. I'll very pleasure if
someone of the gurus
I also want to note that Soundcloud works perfectly across all of my
devices. Mixcloud is the problem.

Is there a way to see what type of file Mixcloud is streaming?
I don't know mixcloud but at a guess it is mp4 (mime tye audio/mp4)
Spotify does *not* stream lossless files (for example, TIDAL does have a
lossless streaming service). Spotify streams high bitrate lossy OGG
files. LMS then converts the OGG file to something that plays on many
different squeezebox players (e.g., FLAC).
That's not 100% accurate. The spotty

Ok have I have LMS 7.9.1~1502265250 installed and running, but still MP4
Mixcloud files will not play on my Boom. Any other suggestions?

No but what I've done in 0.71.0 is to let user select which helper is
used (in plugin settings), so that should do the trick

Well, that turned out to be easy. Used a different computer from where
LMS is running, to not clutter it up with stuff I probably won't use for
anything else than compile Spotty... It compiled the first time, without
errors on FreeBSD 11.0-RELEASE-p1.
Nice!
Copied the compiled spotty to:

First of all thanks to everyone who is doing the work to keep my system
going in the ever changing world of music streaming.
Now the tech question. I cannot get the new Mixcloud plugin to work on
my Boom player or SqueezePlay app. Works fine on my Touch.
"Problem:Unable to play file type..."
"I'm not looking forward to install my own Rust/Cargo environment and
clone the Spotty helper application repository to see if I can get a
working Spotty"

The error "Problem:Unable to play file type..." usually means the audio
format you have selected cannot played natively on the device e.g AAC on
Boom or 96Khz on Boom. If this is the problem then underlying issues ios
NOT a Mixcloud problem.
I suggest describe in detail for format of the audio
