I recently moved my LMS (7.9.1 - 1519287262) over to Raspbian Stretch.
Everything, including other plugins, seem to be working fine, but this
plugin consistently fails to download with this error:

Suggestion: You might want to caution people from changing the player
name from the default in the
Since two days i always have the problem that i'm not able to see what
is played actually. The musicserver plays one song after the other, but
in the spotifiy app on android or on mac i don't see whats going on! So
its not the actual song i'm seeing there.

Right, here's a bit of the log when I started playing Autour du Jazz,
and still all I get here is a readout of "FIP autour du jazz" where
previously I got track and artist info ...

Odd.
Time stamps look right.
I just tuned in to the same station ... about 30 minutes later and
titles appeared.

Judging by the timestamps ... you are in UK timezone ... so can we agree
a time tomorrow when we can both try things at the same time with the
same FIP station?
If yes then PM me and we can work out a way to debug in real-time.

Thanks Michael for the great plugin I just installed yesterday.
I would just like to ask: would be possible to display additional "Save"
button (heart icon) for playable Band's Campout items/albums to save
them directly as new favourites in the Favorites menu? The "Save" button

Thanks for the reply, Paul, but I don't understand what you're
suggesting. I "see the problem happening" all the time: I never get a
track/artist readout, just the station name, without fail.

Unfortunately this isn't possible

Hi Fahzz,
In case you still have some issues with Samba, check out the video I did
on our 'filesystem mount plugin'

Do I uninstall 2.1.9?

OK, how do I get the plugin to use the new helper?
Just install it. Its binary comes with the name "spotty-custom" which
takes precedence over the other binaries. Spotty should pick it up
automatically.

The Spotify disconnect seems to be an issue more and more users are
reporting. Are you using a beta version? It started with the Android
version a week or two ago. Then I've read about the iOS beta causing
this problem, too. And on the librespot code there's been activity to
add code to deal with

I guess you don't have Connect mode enabled
Hmm the server log shows it seems to be using the old helper and there
is an error relating to the custom helper.
Hmm... indeed: that binary wouldn't run. Not even on the machine I built
it on :-(. I'll double check whether this is just a build f-up, or some
serious issue in the code.
