How do you know they are fully embedded? It's quite unusual that such is the
case.
PoDoFo doesn't have any pre-built function for doing this, but you could
certainly write one using the low level APIs.

Thanks for your insight about the different between font embedding and font
subsetting.
In my context, the fonts are really fully embedded in PDF files to be
merged. Do you have any idea how these duplicated fonts can be eliminated
(using PoDoFo of course)?
