Hi,
any version cmake lefts you configure it with.

I compile PoDoFo with a 2.8 freetype, which had been preinstalled here
(a Linux machine). I'd not expect to have "it known" that 2.9 is the
best with PoDoFo after only a month having 2.9 out. I mean, as it's
that fresh, it's likely that only minority of users updated to it (if
any) and tried PoDoFo with it, but I can be wrong with my expectations.

On the other hand, I believe freetype folks surely fixed several bugs
and added some enhancements which may or may not help you. It really
depends where your font issue is.
Bye,

[Podofo-users] Which FreeType library version should PoDoFo (trunk code) use?

2018-02-08 Thread Olivier Mascia
Dear,

Which FreeType library version should PoDoFo (trunk code) use?
Is it known to be OK to use the 2.9 or should we stick to something older like
2.8 series?

As I happen to have started evaluating PoDoFo this week and had no FreeType
library on my systems (Windows), I went straight and build the last released
one I found through freetype.org, without really spotting the 2.9 was so
'fresh' (January 2018). And as I have found some oddity with subsetting of one
font (discussed in another thread) and I see that FreeType library is involved
in that process, I'm wondering wether I painted myself in a corner. :)
