Hi,

While playing around (and trying to find the reason for my "IE loads
Excel sheet twice" problem), I got the following error message when
opening my POI generated Excel sheet:

--
Microsoft Excel File Repair Log

Errors were detected in file 'C:\Documents and Settings\Christoph
Jaeger\Local Settings\Temporary Internet
Files\Content.IE5\C5QRGTU3\CATWSR1T.xls'
The following is a list of repairs:

Damage to the file was so extensive that repairs were not possible.
Excel attempted to recover your formulas and values, but some data may
have been lost or corrupted.

The Excel sheet has about 7000 rows, 25 columns, a bit more than half of
the cells are empty. I use no formulas and only very little formatting
(only the header row is in bold font, numeric cells are marked as
numeric and right-aligned). I use the POI 2.0 pre 2 package and
Microsoft Excel 2002, SP1.

>From what I see from Excel, all the data is there, only the formatting
of the header row was lost.

I have a copy of the damaged file (I hope it is not the one Excel
already tried to repair), but it has 1.8 Mb, so I do not want to send it
to the mailing list. If it may contain useful information, please tell
me where I can send it to.

Is there some more information I can provide you with?

Best Regards,

Christoph Jäger
