Hi, While playing around (and trying to find the reason for my "IE loads Excel sheet twice" problem), I got the following error message when opening my POI generated Excel sheet:
-- Microsoft Excel File Repair Log Errors were detected in file 'C:\Documents and Settings\Christoph Jaeger\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\C5QRGTU3\CATWSR1T.xls' The following is a list of repairs: Damage to the file was so extensive that repairs were not possible. Excel attempted to recover your formulas and values, but some data may have been lost or corrupted. -- The Excel sheet has about 7000 rows, 25 columns, a bit more than half of the cells are empty. I use no formulas and only very little formatting (only the header row is in bold font, numeric cells are marked as numeric and right-aligned). I use the POI 2.0 pre 2 package and Microsoft Excel 2002, SP1. >From what I see from Excel, all the data is there, only the formatting of the header row was lost. I have a copy of the damaged file (I hope it is not the one Excel already tried to repair), but it has 1.8 Mb, so I do not want to send it to the mailing list. If it may contain useful information, please tell me where I can send it to. Is there some more information I can provide you with?
