Logs?

Which one are you using? /path/to/policyd-weight -v

If a NS is unresponsive, polw rather lets pass them to keep
the mail flowing. Currently this behaviour is not configurable.
Maybe it would be nice, to let administrators decide, whether or
not to 4xx clients with unresponsive DNS rather than accepting them.

Maybe I should leave a note in Debian.README about reading
documentation and ajusting default values.

Well ... I thought, that this value was higher. Has this been changed or
was it always on 1?

Til,
For us it has always been 1.

Thats not debian specific, this is default by upstream and nowhere set
explicitly.

post:~# policyd-weight defaults | grep "\$REJECTLEVEL"
$REJECTLEVEL = 1; # Mails with scores which exceed this

Maybe I should leave a note in Debian.README about reading documentation and
ajusting default values.

With kind regards, Jan.

That is far to low in my eyes. What do you suggest as value?

I use the value 2.0 with only a few whitelisted clients.

Hi,

why did they get rejected? Could you please post the logfile output, so
we can see what points has been given?

What version exactly are you currently running? And do you use a local
dns caching server?

Re: Problem with false positives

2007-11-28 Thread Vince Administration

Til,
For us, the problem with dns lookup errors appeared to be caused by
pw starting too early after a reboot, possibly before the DNS service
was completely established. Restarting it keeps it going fine until
the next reboot.
