Ok, but what do the juries get out of it? Surely somebody in a group
of 12 would have some common sense, but apparently not. They did say a
group of their peers... maybe the jury pool must consist of people as
stupid as the litigants themselves.

these cases can be appealed but it is costly on the defendents. These
juries are just assholes. There should be a pre-screening process
that deals with these types of lawsuits.
