Emmanuel Jarri is having the same problem with libiconv (just sent to
ports@),
maybe they are related?
I tried to compile vlc on my own, from the sources availables on
videolan.org:
I've "tar -xzvf vlc-0.8.4a.tar.gz", and tried in the extracted folder:
"./configure --prefix=/usr --enable-wxwindo
I'm trying to build php4 with extensions, but it keeps crashing with

/usr/X11R6/lib and the version in base if enabled has version 5.0 too.
The port got out of sync at some point when ports did not have support
for bumping major revs.

Can some one explain this? so where does expat 5.0 exist?
This is current ports from round the 3rd.
Outdated ports:
devel/gettext # expat.4.0 -> expat.5.0
textproc/p5-XML-Parser # expat.4.0 -> expat.5.0
kallasjarvi:build {75} head ../../textproc/expat/Makefile
# $OpenB

Hi,
I moved from vlc 0.8.2 (package from 3.8) to vlc 0.8.4a (package from
snapshots) and it now runs in console mode.
I upgraded gtk2, and many others (with pkg_add -u vlc).
I tried to compile, but ./configure fails telling I need to install
libiconv, which is installed.
I spoke about it with a V

For me it works on i386, again.
But I didn't have the problem which is now fixed, so I can't tell you,
if your patch really solved
Right now I'm working on an update of kde-multimedia to version
3.5.1.
Before I run into trouble that others may already have seen, I'd
like to ask wether there is any technical reason (i.e. other than
not enough time and/or interest) for kde-multimedia not yet beeing
updated.
I didn't find any h

Do I have any hope to see ntop 3.2 running under Openbsd?

Is anybody working around this?

Hi guys,
I just upgraded my 3.8 box to 3.9-beta, and I was trying to reinstall
nmap from ports. Since there was no X Windows installed on my
machine, I used:
# env FLAVOR=no_x11 make install
But then I got these error messages:

Hi.
This is a fix to htmldoc so that one does not have to input
"--datadir /usr/local/share/htmldoc" each time he wants to use the program.
I'm not sure about keeping the pkg/MESSAGE file though. Is it really usefull
information ?
I don't mind maintaining this and added myself as maintainer if i
