Attached is the long overdue patch. Please use patch -E to remove three source patches from the previous version since they have been adopted by LyX developers. The only remaining source patch is shortened. I tested both -qt and -xforms flavors. They work fine. Several issues while building

I am having trouble upgrading gkt+2 from 2.6.10p2 to 2.8.18p1. Every time I try and upgrade I get the following error : undefined reference to 'gtk_icon_view_set_reorderable' In the past I have searched on the Net for a solution but no one seems to have had this issue and posted the problem and
