Well, ports locked means the snapshot packages going out are very near
to what will be in 5.1.

So, tinkerers, how about you stop sending stupid updates that just take
bandwidth and attention and concentrate on testing those packages instead ?

You know, if you run into some CRITICAL issue, it's still possible to fix
it.

Pretty soon, it won't.

Also, in case you haven't figured it out yet, the looong lock periods are in
part due to... insufficient TESTING. Very, very few people actually test those
packages during lock, and hence we have to rely on developers actually doing
that not so fun part of testing.

So, hey you want to participate in OpenBSD ? that's not all fun and games...
doing un-fun things such as checking that packages actually WORK is very
very important at this stage.

Test, test, test !

The sooner it's done, the better.
