The correct target is deinstall. And you can use update target too, no need to
separately deinstall+install. However I would advise you to use binary
packages instead.

aren't writable by the webserver whereas other files are. I haven't
looked to see whether it makes sense for these to be writable,
but it doesn't look like they should be any different to the other
files in the directory.

I'd suggest maybe doing a chown/chmod -R in the do-install stage,
that way you can just use @owner/@group/@mode in the PLIST for
exceptions, which generally makes it easier to update things in the
future (then you generally won't need to tweak the output from
make plist).

There are some disadvantages to that, e.g. a connection to an extra

NEW: games/chroma, chroma-extras

2010-12-06 Thread LEVAI Daniel
Hi!

Here is a port for the game called chroma. It's an SDL/ncurses puzzle
game. There is a port for an add-on pack too.

games/chroma/pkg/DESCR:
Chroma is an abstract puzzle game. A variety of colourful shapes are arranged
in a series of increasingly complex patterns, forming fiendish traps that must
be disarmed and mysterious puzzles that must be manipulated in order to give up
their subtle secrets. Initially so straightforward that anyone can pick it up
and begin to play, yet gradually becoming difficult enough to tax even the
brightest of minds.

UPDATE: monodevelop 2.4.1

2010-12-06 Thread Edd Barrett
Hi,

Update to monodevelop 2.4.1.

Still has that weird deadlock at start which you can disable by either:
a) opening an xterm on top of the splash screen (WTF?!)
b) disabling the welcome screen in the preferences after initially using a).

OK?

Just a stupid question (I've not tested monodevelop).

Why not disabling the welcome screen by default (i.e. patching the code)?

Re: UPDATE: monodevelop 2.4.1

2010-12-06 Thread Robert Nagy
Hey

That bug seems to be mono related and can be seen in nant for example.
You can also try to pkill -INFO -f mono to see if it continues at that
point. If it does, then it's the same bug which is repoted already and
is pthreads related.

[NEW] From CPAN: Tcl-1.00

2010-12-06 Thread Dan Cross
[I'm going to try this again; sorry I let it slip for a year.]

Hello OpenBSD Porters, please find attached a new port for a
CPAN module.

WHAT:

This is for the CPAN module that provides Tcl bindings,
webpage here: http://search.cpan.org/~vkon/Tcl/Tcl.pm

WHERE:

Attached to this email, but also at:
http://grex.org/~cross/p5-Tcl.tar.gz

WHY:

We write a lot of software in Perl on Grex, a public access
Unix system running OpenBSD (ssh newu...@grex.org; follow
the instructions if you want an account).  Unfortunately,
Perl's syntax doesn't lend itself well to writing
configuration files.  However, Tcl's does; using this module
provides us a clean way to write configuration files in Tcl
and then read them in Perl.  Hooray for all inclusiveness.

HOW:

I created this by copying another port and looking through
various others.  It's been tested under 4.8-stable on i386
and in some of our code.

Thanks!

       - Dan C.

updated, resubmit: clojure: lisp-1 for JVM

2010-12-06 Thread Ian Darwin
Dan Cross updated this for 1.2.0, thanks.

Clojure is a dynamic programming language that targets the Java
Virtual Machine. It is designed to be a general-purpose language,
combining the approachability and interactive development of a
scripting language with an efficient and robust infrastructure for
multithreaded programming. Clojure is a compiled language - it
compiles directly to JVM bytecode, yet remains completely dynamic.
Every feature supported by Clojure is supported at runtime. Clojure
provides easy access to the Java frameworks, with optional type
hints and type inference, to ensure that calls to Java can avoid
reflection.

Clojure is a dialect of Lisp, and shares with Lisp the code-as-data
philosophy and a powerful macro system. Clojure is predominantly a
functional programming language, and features a rich set of immutable,
persistent data structures. When mutable state is needed, Clojure
offers a software transactional memory system and reactive Agent
system that ensure clean, correct, multithreaded designs.

Port is at http://www.darwinsys.com/openbsd/myports/clojure.tar.gz

Comments/oks?

Thx

Trouble with MODULES=devel/gettext

2010-12-06 Thread David Cantrell

On ports that have:

MODULES = devel/gettext

in the Makefile, I am consistently getting these errors when trying to
build:

===  Verifying specs: c intl=5 iconv=6 c intl=5 iconv=6
Missing library for intl=5.=0.0
Missing library for iconv=6.=0.0
Fatal error

I have searched documentation and read through bsd.port.mk and
resolve-lib in /usr/ports/infrastructure, but I cannot determine what is
happening.

Any pointers people can provide, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks,

mplayer auto subtitles now?

2010-12-06 Thread Ted Unangst
I just upgraded mplayer from some unknown previous version. now every
time i play a dvd it has subtitles on it unless i explicitly add
-nosub to the command line. is this intentional?

Minor fix for x11/gnome/doc-utils

2010-12-06 Thread David Cantrell

(If this message needs to go to ports-bugs, let me know.)

While working on another port, I discovered the gnome-doc-tool command
has two uses of getopt(1), but assumes GNU getopt. If gnome-doc-tool is
called from a Makefile, the normal system getopt(1) will be used and
you'll get a failed build.

I patched x11/gnome/doc-utils locally on my system to depend on
misc/gnugetopt and call gnugetopt specifically from gnome-doc-tool:

Hi,

A note: if --with-berkeleydb is spelled correctly in CONFIGURE_ARGS, I
believe the LIB_DEPENDS for databases/db/v4 will come back.

I am not opposed to simply replacing the v2 port with v3 (I know
incompatible), but there maybe some who never responded to your first
probe about this idea a few months back, so I guess a separate
port...but then again, how many people are we talking need this?
Anyone? Current and/or previous maintainers opinion?

Cheers,
Okan
