We have allocated two weeks in 2011 to record a new album with TrondheimSolistene. Well - an album might not be the right term as this will not make any traditional CD. What we record in May will be published exclusively as high resolution audio files and by streaming in September. Then our recordings in October will add up to a full release on Pure Audio Blu-ray scheduled for January 2012. The project title is SOUVENIR and our guide is "the most beautiful music ever composed for the string orchestra". Ensemble leader Øyvind Gimse has already decided for Tchaikovsky's "Souvenir de Florence" and 2L have opted for the "Serenade for Strings". Aiming for a 90 minutes program leaves 30 more minutes to record.
