I've backported the patch from there, here's the diff : http://gcu.info/~gaston/patches/terminal-security-fix.diff No regression noted here @i386.. please note that this diff doesn't fix the "SEGFAULT when exit/ ctrl-d" issue which i'm aware of and has been reported several times by kind users.. i have to work on it.
