That explains it then - tb@ pointed out that the problem I saw on amd64 would not occur or arm64. I saw on Github that Laurent Cheylus already did the work to make uucore work properly on OpenBSD, and would propose that we wait with a nushell update until they switched to a uucore version that incorporates his fixes.
