FWIW I've removed patch-modules_fdlibm_src_math_private_h from my tree
and will see if that works when my current bulk reaches as far as
spidermonkey.

Unlikely to be LLVM16-related.

Recent port, I guess this is unlikely to be LLVM16-related too.
Less important than spidermonkey as nothing depends on it.

just caught one of these in time to save the core; the backtrace
isn't very useful.

aircrack-ng: fixed, ld.lld now works with this so I've switch over.
fpc: tried that via a patch to fpcsrc/compiler/systems/t_bsd.pas but
it then produces a binary which it runs during build, which segfaults.

i386 ports build failures

2023-11-20 Thread Stuart Henderson
build failures: summarised first, tail of the various logs is below.

devel/kyua-cli: likely already fixed

devel/lpc21isp: linker segfault. I see these occasionally since
the LLVM update, seems to be random, it's affected a different
port whenever I've seen it, and doesn't happen very often (about
once per bulk build) and not reproducible by repeated building
of the same port.

devel/spidermonkey115: typedef redefinition with different types
('float' vs 'long double')

java/jna: segfault while running javadoc resulting in doc files not
being generated and thus packaging failure

lang/fpc, security/aircrack-ng: /usr/bin/ld.bfd: /usr/lib/crtbegin.o:
unrecognized relocation (0x2b) in section `.text'

lang/gforth: segfault from a binary compiled and run during the build

www/wpebackend-fdo: non-constant-expression cannot be narrowed from
type 'uint32_t' (aka 'unsigned int') to 'long' in initializer list
   [-Wc++11-narrowing]

i386 ports build failures

graphics/pecl-imagick,
multimedia/ffmpeg-php,
www/pecl-phar,
www/pecl-swish: broken by php update

lang/sbcl: build hangs, see
http://rhaalovely.net/build-failures/i386/20130828/lang/sbcl.log

lang/smlnj: segfault during build
http://rhaalovely.net/build-failures/i386/20130828/lang/smlnj.log

productivity/taskjuggler: broken by 64-bit time_t, not a bootstrap issue
http://rhaalovely.net/build-failures/i386/20130828/productivity/taskjuggler.log

math/yorick: built this time, but there is a very common intermittent failure
where there are lots of undefined references, compare
