Hi Regina, I've done a couple of installs just using a postgresql/postgis instance which is listed by default: sudo apt-get install postgresql-9.3-postgis-2.1 I've had no issues but just wondering whether i should be using the official source instead? Just tested this out again on a fresh Ubuntu 14.04.1 VM and it works great! (also works with QGIS installed so I don't see any conflicts here...) Complaining is a good thing. Means you are trying to use something and want to use it enough to complain when it doesn't work :) Thanks again for going thru the effort of setting up the instructions in first place. I hope we (me) didn't come off as complaining - just wanted to pass on the info... But I know some folks here in Denver looking to deploy on Ubuntu Server will be happy to hear! I tested this at home and it works, will try one more time at work tomorrow and let you know. Hello, There's a probleme with the dependancies with libgdal1.
