[Potlatch-dev] Tagging of Loch Katrine
In a recent visit to the area, I noted that Loch Katrine (http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=56.251373291015625lon=-4.4858551025390625zoom=13) did not appear as a lake at some zoom levels on my GPS. Other nearby lochs were OK. On return, I find that it does not appear as a lake in Potlatch II, though it does in the default OSM view. There are seven 'outer' elements in the named relation, some of which are very short, but appear to be joined correctly. Most of them have no tags at all. Can anyone see the problem? Don't forget that you will have to update your GPS data after the correction. Thank you Pieren - there was certainly an error there - part of an island had been made a inner member of the relation, as well as the whole island. I have corrected this, but the rendering issue seems to be a bit more fundamental. Richard Fairhurst, thanks for the explanation of why Potlatch 2 does not render this. Perhaps it will be resolved one day! At least I am aware of it now. Re: [Potlatch-dev] [OpenStreetMap] #4280: P2 does not correctly add nodes
I prefer the reported behaviour - there are cases where one wants to separate the two ways for a short distance - for example there may be a clearing in a forest adjacent to a road which elsewhere is the forest boundary. This would be difficult to achieve with the 'expected' behaviour. Expected behaviour: P2 finds all ways that have an edge running between the two nodes, and inserts the new node into all such ways. Actual behaviour: P2 only inserts a node into the ways that were actually under the mouse. ___ Potlatch-dev mailing list Potlatch-dev@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/potlatch-dev

[Potlatch-dev] Visibility of GPS tracks
Recently I have found it very difficult to see GPS tracks in Potlatch 2. They seem to disappear behind the road (or other feature), and only appear when they deviate from it. Has anyone else found this problem? And has anyone found a solution? [Potlatch-dev] Potlatch 2 - names for woodland
A suggestion for a minor addition to Potlatch 2: When rivers, streams, lakes etc are drawn, the 'simple' interface offers the option of 'name'. But for woods/forests, it does not, and I keep finding myself changing to 'Advanced' mode to put the name in. Could 'name' be added to the Simple interface for woodlands?
