Thanks for trying: no, the binding warnings won't make any difference. I would have expected to see an actual error but evidently not. I've not had any issues with Safari or Opera on OS X: just downloading Chrome now. Appears to happen anywhere on the map. If I Shift-click on the yellow line of a selected way (red dots, with yellow lines between them) then the red dots just flash off and on again. Exactly the same response as a normal click. I now can add new ways (and the points to create them), but I cannot add a point to an existing way.
