This position works within IT and is located at our Sherwin-Williams corporate location in Cleveland, OH reporting to the Global IT Manager of Sales and CRM. The Senior Salesforce Developer position is responsible for the development, integration, and implementation of Salesforce.com (SFDC) applications which support the company business strategies and objectives. This role provides technical consulting to management, business users, and technical associates and works closely with other developers as a mentor. As a technical specialist, this position also works with engineers and architects in continuous improvement initiatives. *Technical Experience* *Skills Required* •Acquire and interpret business requirements, creates a functional specification, provide accurate estimates, and meet deadlines on deliverables. •Work with Architecture role to review standards in determining the best design to meet project requirements. Responsible for implementing approved architecture design •Submit and review technical and process improvement recommendations as a member of the technical leadership team. •Perform complex programming assignments requiring an advanced aptitude of established programming standards, methods, and best practices. •Design application and database components for Salesforce projects. •Perform analysis of business models, logical specifications, and/or customer requirements to design and build Salesforce solutions. •Provide generalized production technical support. •Mitigate significant risks associated with projects, which have a high technical complexity and/or involve significant challenges to the business. •Guide the team in translating requirements into Salesforce configuration, identifying where custom development/integration may need to occur. •Develop and maintain Salesforce applications; make approved changes by amending application documentation, developing detailed programming logic, and coding changes. •Provide support for critical application problems and issues. •Act as a Subject Matter Expert in the discovery and investigation of critical production problems as required. •Partner with business analysts and application super users to successfully complete projects. •Train and teach other Salesforce developers. *Knowledge & Experience* 8 yrs+ IT experience •5+ years experience working on all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle. •5+ years software development experience demonstrating depth of technical and functional understanding within specific IT discipline(s)/technology(s) - i.e. Java. •2+ years development experience with Visual Force, Java-script, Apex controllers, Apex Classes/Triggers Configurations, Workflow, Batch jobs & standard SFDC components •2+ years experience with SFDC Object design, SOQL & SOSL. •Advanced understanding of the Salesforce data model and how and when to create custom objects vs. using Salesforce out-of-the-box functionality. •Salesforce Developer certifications, preferred. •Experience working with customers to build and formulate business requirements. •Conversational English required. *Personal Attributes* •Strong written and oral communication skills. •Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities. •Proven ability and initiative to learn and research new concepts, ideas, and technologies quickly •Willingness and ability to train and teach others. •Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment •Ability to translate an idea or need into a completed solution or work product •Ability to work effectively in a globally focused multi-cultural environment, and to lead and influence cross-organizationally with and without direct authority. *Non-Technical Skills Required* •Bachelor Degree or foreign equivalent in related field or equivalent experience. •Salesforce Developer Certification, preferred.
