Thanks, Jim, for the input. It's still a mystery.
I started a test group, put the two 'slippery' contacts in it and two others
for controls. When I quit PM and restart, my test group contains only the two
controls, the slippery ones have disappeared again (from the group; they still

Greetings--
I use PM 6.2.1 on OSX 10.6.8 mostly without any glitches at all.
Recently I have a (longstanding) group in my Address Book which keeps losing
two of its members.
When I drag those records back into the group, they appear there as expected,
but once PM is closed and restarted,
Thanks for your prompt response! I've changed that setting, but it will be a
day or two before I can tell for sure that the problem is gone. I'm guessing
that it doesn't matter to me not to have HTML indexing? Anything with no text
is probably Spam anyway. So this sounds like a perfectly fine
Hi again--
You are right, it's not SpamSieve. I disabled spam filtering and the problem
still occurs. Just looking at my Console here, it seems like a plist parse
problem in the Cookies file...so maybe it will be simple to fix if that's it. I
plan to do a sampling as you've suggested (have to
Thank you so much for these tips. I will poke around at it and report back

This is not a disaster, as I have a backup from 3 weeks ago.
However, it would be very nice if I could recover this file.
The computer crashed just as I had received some mail, and it was
strange, so I was not surprised that it corrupted the file. When I try
to open the db, it

I have PM 5.5.3 (just installed) and Tiger 10.4.8.
However, I still can't print HTML messages. Do I understand correctly
that this is working for some people? If so, what am I doing wrong?

As soon as I went to 2.3, it did happened to me, too. But I exited PM

Yes, it is sort of a trick I guess. Just open up the mail that is in
