With Mavericks and PM 6.2.1, it depends on my workflow whether PowerMail shows
the endless spinning beachball or not:
(1) When another application is open - I tested Safari and iTunes - and I open
PM and try to retrieve e-mails, PM crashes. After closing the other app and PM
and restarting PM,
The iPod touch and iPhone have a Chinese character handwriting system
for the touchpad. One can choose traditional or simplified characters.
Text can be written either in NOTES or in MAIL and then sent by email.
When received with Mail.app on a Mac (I tried a G5 and an Intel Mac),

If you Save as text a message in PM and drag the resulting icon onto
the Devonthink icon in the dock, the message WITH its header will be
captured in Dt and you can use Dt's features. A scripting solution would
indeed be more comfortable.

I just made a test with a simplified Chinese mail a received in PM for OS
X. I saved it as text, started TextEdit and opened the saved document in
TextEdit. All characters were displayed correctly, both in the subject
line and in the text, as well as the from and to etc. in latin
characters.
