I remember covering this once before, but, alas, I've forgotten the
answer. SpamSeive, which resides in my App folder (almost always has)
does not start up with PM, nowadays. How did I get it going before? I
guess I could always add it to my startup items.

open pm than try to launch spamsieve manually. it should be necessary
just once.
