I just saw an article that says the Massachusetts Dept of Health wants a 10
mrem/yr standard for the decommissioning of Pilgrim. Does anyone know what the
scenario will be for the site? Resident farmer? Just curious because there
seems to be a trend for states to set limits considerably lower
The selection of even lower levels of clean up standards for each site/state is
another example of how the linear threshold/ALARA concept results in
unnecessary cost to the public and risk from moving large quantities of low
level radioactive material across country.
