Yes, but we need a lot more scientific control to find these explanations.

Yes, that's the kind of looking at the global picture I alluded to. (Also: what about all what happens in people's personal histories, in education and otherwise, before they even reach the point of starting to learn to program?) There literally is an infinity of "uncontrolloed variables"; worse (lol!) they are (real and) concrete (ie about impossible to model in a purely abstract, conceptual schema).
