Hi Eduardo,

You have come to the right place!

“Psychology of Programming” is the study of human factors that affect the
interaction with computer programming systems. The "Psychology of Programming
Interest Group”, or “PPIG” is the group that you have posted your message to,
so we are the people who study this stuff.

So your question is how you can understand more about what we do. A good
starting point would be the website
http://www.ppig.org/

This contains many research papers, and links to books that have information
related to your question.

You could also consider coming to one of the annual meetings of PPIG, which
would give you a good idea of what kind of people do this research - the next
one is here:
http://www.ppig.org/workshops/ppig-2016-27th-annual-workshop

Finally, I teach a graduate class, aimed at computer scientists, that gives an
overview of the field without assuming any prior knowledge. You are welcome to
access the course materials, which also include chapters from the book
“Psychology of Programming” that was published by members of the PPIG community
some years ago:

Best wishes, and enjoy learning more about the psychology of programming!

Alan
