Modal is considered, by me, to be old-school and undesirable. People
expect to have several forms open on their worksurface and interact
between them. Just my opinion.

I worked with modal forms 99% of the time in all my previous VFP jobs.

Alan,
I use that same control but I haven't had any reports of problems. I
just checked it and ran through a few tests and it seems to be working
well.
You're experiencing this on multiple user systems?
Any idea which OS is having problems?

On investigation we use it on our standard date picker control,
basically we have it (specifically MsComCtl2.MonthView.2) on a form with
a few buttons to select the current date and so forth. No reported
issues like this and we would have sites numbering in the thousands
using it from Win XP
I'm really surprised that NOBODY Responded to this thread. Mostly because I
would be shocked that NOBODY had this problem - as those nobody is using this
DatePicker control. Can that actually be??

Final job before I leave this gig after 24 years...
This shown how little code I've done in the last x years...
I've got a menu that calls a form ivied: DO FORM weekref.scx
However when it runs as an executable yes it calls the form but then hands
control straight back to the menu so you
Well, looking at what's out there in terms of options personally I would
create a C# DLL to do it, there are a few examples on StackOverflow that
seem to work.
YMMV

Tag names occupy space in the name table which is limited to 65,000
entries. Which is still a hypothetical limit as updating that many indexes
slows down file operations quite a bit. With these day's
