I seem to recall there's a setting in GF to reload the last search on startup. And sometimes its metadata gets messed up. I kept running into weird issues with 4 that Jim could never duplicate. After I moved to 5 GF has been better behaved and in my experience it does run faster in 5 than 4. --

After you brought up GoFish, I found a video on it and thought I'd try to use it, but I can't get v5 to run. I keep getting an OLE error code that a class is not registered. Hi all I have been happily using GoFish (4.3) for years but today when I tried to run it (in VFP9 SP2) the cursor changes to that circular one which appears when Fox is busy and GoFish refuses to load. Fox also displays eventually as Not Responding. Any ideas/suggestions? Many thanks Paul N
