RE: DLL/OCX to use with VFP ???
I've also been using Craig's VFPCOMPRESSION.DLL for a few months in a few sites, and it works just fine. Winzip can unzip it's files without a problem. Much thanks for Craig for this valuable contribution! John Weller wrote: I use Xzip from http://xstandard.com. Freeware and works like a charm. Hey, nice one, hadn't seen that before. I use Craig Boyd's FLL though, because all you have to do is put it in the same place as the EXE and SET LIBRARY, there's no registration to worry about. Neither of them provide any progress feedback when zipping/unzipping though, which is a pain. ___ Post Messages to: ProFox@leafe.com Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice. Re: DLL/OCX to use with VFP ???
Thank You ! Very good and easy to use. But I could unzip an encrypted zip file (with password) . Is it possible ? Ailsom F. Heringer (Osklen) wrote: Thank You ! Very good and easy to use. But I could unzip an encrypted zip file (with password) . Is it possible ? Probably not, because the encryption would be dependent on the software that created the Zip file. So if you used WinZip and added a password, here's no way anything but WinZip can unzip it. ___ Post Messages to: ProFox@leafe.com Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice. Re: DLL/OCX to use with VFP ???
Ailsom re encrypted: Craig says he is thinking about it. There is further discussion at another place http://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=1284772page=14 re Alan's Neither of them provide any progress feedback I wrote mine based on http://www.tek-tips.com/faqs.cfm?fid=3830 There is also dfpug.fll written, I believe, by one of our German colleagues. I obtained a copy while being a member of Foxtalk2. I found it VERY slow but since noticed that the reason was to do with its PROGRESS bar, not the actual speed of compression. As I recall it cost around 50 euros for a unrestricted developers licence. Andrew Stirling 01250 874580 http://www.calcpay.co.uk HMRC Accredited UK payroll program Ailsom F.
