this bug is definately alive and well, and something to do with debugging - particularly with creating objects in the command window relating to a form being debugged. This is the second time this week I've had the problem - this time it manifested itself when running the exe as the form having a huge viewport - maybe 50 times the size of the form. After I had manually resized this the form appeared with no visible content.
I backed up the form and deleted the object code and compiled the - same problem, I deleted foxuser and deleted the object code again without compiling. When I did modi form the properties showed top and left values in the thousands - I changed these to 0,0 and everything now seems to be OK. ymmv? postscipt: It may not even be a real bug per se - it seems to me that over the years the vfp developers have left so many bits in that were really for their own use that writemethod / sys(1270)/ compile... and their friends are causing the design and runtime environments to melt together a bit?
