AFAIK, the wiki syntax is not affected, but there are a long list of changes to the wiki software itself (mediawiki), see https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki_1.31. We are upgrading from version 1.25. I haven't seen anything that would affect the current pages.
