Looks like this was the result of a temporal overlap.
Sorry for the noise ...
Thanks to all involved for their intense work which is much appreciated.

It looks like all the pages are moved over now. Thanks to Raul for help on
this.
The curious problem: there are about 20 pages in the wiki that were created
before Dec 2008 and not changed after that date. They could not be imported
directly to the new wiki, even though they worked fine in the ear
I think this problem is already fixed. Please check and make sure you are

NuVoc layout (after the move) is in the need for a brush-up.
Would you run a bot to replace all the

characters with HTML

I haven't used the
Replace Text extension so far (and probably do
not have the rights to use it anyway).
Thanks.

It looks like the wiki move did not complete correctly!
The page titles are all there, but some pages have no content, e.g.
https://code.jsoftware.com/wiki/Essays/Eigenvalues .
The same problem is in the code2 wiki that was set up earlier for testing
wiki changes. We just never noticed it.

Fixed, thanks. The old wiki had some internal links pointing to the current
wiki.

Thank you Chris,
Both current and prototype wikis look great. I did notice that on my browser
the oldwiki url does a redirect to the current wiki if I click on the link. If
I enter the link into the address then it stays on the old wiki page.

The wiki move is finished and you can edit the wiki again. It is on a new
IP address so you may need to refresh your browser.
The old wiki will be made available at oldcode.jsoftware.com for a few
weeks. Right now I am just getting the ssl certs working for it.

The wiki move is being done now. The old wiki is read only and the J logo
is red.

The wiki will be moved to a new server tomorrow (Sunday), around 2pm UTC
(10am EDT). It will have the latest mediawiki LTS version 1.35.5.
The move should take less than an hour, during which the old wiki will be
read only. I'll email the forum just before the move.

The problem was relative links, e.g. ../name, and this is fixed now.

There are many visible changes in the Brave New Wiki, namely: In the old
Wiki, internal wiki links are stated as [[wiki page title]] in the raw
text. Now those links are also displayed as [[wiki page title]] with the

The move should be done now, and you are free to edit the wiki again.
The only visible change should be the use of https rather than http in the
url. Also, the version page at code.jsoftware.com/wiki/Special:Version
should show 1.31.0 .
The old wiki will still be available at oldcode.jsoftware.co
I will work on this now. To start with, the old wiki will be made read
only.

AFAIK, the wiki syntax is not affected, but there are a long list of
changes to the wiki software itself (mediawiki), see
https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki_1.31. We are upgrading from
version 1.25. I haven't seen anything

The wiki will be moved to a new server on Thursday, likely around noon GMT.
It will have the latest mediawiki version 1.31 and use https. Otherwise the
look and feel will be unchanged.
